Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Question: Who is the Culprit Behind Ah Yin's Sacrifice?

Where is this?

In the live broadcast room, as the scene before them suddenly shifted to a bustling, vibrant city, curiosity and confusion filled the hearts of many viewers.

But that wasn't the end of the surprises.

After the vision changed into this lively and prosperous city, the camera zoomed in on a food street. The street was teeming with people, and the sound of vendors calling out their wares echoed everywhere.

In the crowd, a tall man wearing a gray-brown robe, with an ordinary face but a strong and resolute demeanor, was seen purchasing snacks from a vendor. He then handed the snacks to a woman beside him, who was dressed in a blue dress, heavily pregnant, with a gentle aura and a soft, beautiful face.

"Here, Ah Yin, this is the specialty snack here, give it a try!"

That guy… looks like the Clear Sky Douluo from six or seven years ago!

And the woman beside him, pregnant no less—could she be his wife?

When many recognized the man in the live broadcast as Tang Hao, those who had seen him before couldn't help but narrow their eyes in thought.

They weren't wrong—this was indeed Tang Hao, the Clear Sky Douluo, and the woman beside him was Ah Yin, his wife!

Meanwhile, in Holy Soul Village…

This man… he looks just like my father!

Inside the blacksmith shop, Tang San was struck by a wave of shock as he watched the broadcast. Although the temperament was slightly different, the build and appearance were almost identical. If his father Tang Hao were to wear the same clothes as the man in the broadcast and tidy up his hair, they would be indistinguishable.

Except for the difference in temperament.

The man in the broadcast exuded strength and determination, while his father's demeanor was one of despair and desolation.

But temperament can change!

If this man in the broadcast was his father, what could have happened to make his father become so broken and defeated?

And the woman beside him—is she his mother?

His mother… called Ah Yin?

But why has his father always refused to tell him anything about her?

Tang San's mind was a storm of confusion.

He desperately wanted to find his father right now and ask him what this was all about, but a glance toward the inner room showed it was empty. His father wasn't home.

And where was Tang Hao?

At this moment, high on a mountain peak in the forest behind Holy Soul Village, Tang Hao was sitting beside the transformed body of Ah Yin, beneath a waterfall, with his consciousness also connected to the live broadcast.

Seeing that this broadcast was featuring events from his past, Tang Hao was stunned.

I didn't expect this broadcast to show my story.

Maybe this time I'll have an advantage.

After all, judging from the previous two broadcasts, the final question was always related to the events shown.

And who could know better about his story than himself?

However… he still hoped the reward this time could be useful for Ah Yin, and that the question wouldn't be too difficult…

A heavy feeling weighed on Tang Hao's heart as he thought about it.

As many people in the live broadcast were still shocked by the scene unfolding, the story continued.

In the broadcast, after Tang Hao and Ah Yin finished exploring the food street, they continued wandering through the city, seemingly looking for a hotel to stay in.

But as they walked, a commotion erupted at the end of the street.

A column of knights was seen parting the crowd, clearing the way for a luxurious palanquin behind them.

With the throng of people around, Tang Hao and Ah Yin were forced to step aside to a vacant spot by the roadside, waiting for the procession to pass.

As the palanquin drew nearer, the camera focused on the person inside—a handsome middle-aged man with golden hair, dressed in a luxurious golden robe.

Standing beside him were two other men, both also dressed in elegant attire, one with a soft, delicate face, and the other with a somber, gloomy aura.

Anyone familiar with them would immediately recognize the three figures.

They were none other than Qian Xunji, the former Supreme Pontiff of Spirit Hall, and the other two were Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan and Ghost Douluo Gui Mei.

As the procession approached Tang Hao and Ah Yin, Qian Xunji, who was waving to the crowd, suddenly locked his gaze on Ah Yin.

Tang Hao and Ah Yin's reactions were immediate. Their pupils contracted sharply, their hands tightened together, and their faces paled.

Tang Hao's face was full of disbelief as he muttered, "How is this possible…? Why is the Supreme Pontiff of Spirit Hall here…?"

Seeing this, many high-ranking individuals in the live broadcast room were filled with suspicion.

Could it be that Qian Xunji has taken a liking to Tang Hao's wife?

But that didn't make sense!

With Qian Xunji's looks, status, and power, he certainly wasn't short of women.

Moreover, he should have recognized Tang Hao, and he wouldn't risk a conflict with the Clear Sky Clan over a woman.

But despite these thoughts, those who knew the events of the past had already realized that the conflict between the Clear Sky Clan and Spirit Hall may have been sparked by the events of this broadcast!

As the broadcast continued, it was revealed that Qian Xunji had indeed targeted Ah Yin because she was a transformed 100,000-year spirit beast!

At this, many viewers were left stunned.

This included Tang San in Holy Soul Village.

My mother… was a 100,000-year spirit beast in human form?

Tang San's mind was reeling with disbelief.

But the story wasn't over.

When Tang Hao refused to surrender his wife, and Qian Xunji dared not seize her by force, fearing a conflict with the Clear Sky Clan, he temporarily withdrew. But he didn't give up. Instead, he pressured the Clear Sky Clan through Spirit Hall.

The Clear Sky Clan's next leader, who had married a 100,000-year spirit beast—this was news that could shake the entire spirit master world!

Even though a 100,000-year spirit beast in human form was indistinguishable from a regular human, the enmity between spirit masters and spirit beasts, forged over countless years of hunting and bloodshed, was deep and irreconcilable.

Once exposed, Tang Hao's fate would be even worse than that of Qiao Feng in the legends!

So, whether the Clear Sky Clan had known about it before or not, once Spirit Hall brought this to light, they could no longer ignore it.

But Tang Hao acted quickly. Before the Clear Sky Clan could respond, he announced his departure from the clan and went on the run with Ah Yin.

Qian Xunji was pleased to see this and immediately led a pursuit to capture Ah Yin, the 100,000-year spirit beast.

Despite Qian Xunji being a Titled Douluo himself, and accompanied by Chrysanthemum Douluo, Ghost Douluo, and numerous Spirit Hall elites, they failed to capture Tang Hao and Ah Yin immediately.

However, during the pursuit, Ah Yin gave birth to their child, leaving them more vulnerable as they fled.

Eventually, they could run no further.

In a final, desperate move, Ah Yin sacrificed herself to Tang Hao, making him the youngest Titled Douluo in history. With his powerful Great Sumeru Hammer technique, Tang Hao nearly killed Qian Xunji in one blow!

After that, Tang Hao escaped with the infant Tang San, leaving behind only ruins.

In the wreckage, many Spirit Hall healers anxiously worked to save the gravely injured and unconscious Qian Xunji.

The scene froze at this moment.

Then, blood-red letters appeared before everyone's eyes, and a cold voice echoed in their ears.

[The event has ended. The question now begins!]

[Question: Who is the culprit behind Ah Yin's sacrifice? (You may answer with the name of the faction, but more specific answers will yield greater rewards!)]

[Rewards: Random 100,000-year spirit bone x1 / Random ability compatible with the respondent (exclusive for spirit beasts)!]

Author's Note: In the original story, Tang Hao's account of Tang San of being hunted by Spirit Hall was full of inconsistencies. Despite Ah Yin and Tang Hao traveling undetected for years, they were suddenly discovered after revealing their identity to the Clear Sky Clan. According to the original narrative, Spirit Hall didn't want to provoke a conflict with the Clear Sky Clan, so they wouldn't have sent a Titled Douluo to spy on the brothers. Without a Titled Douluo, they couldn't have detected Ah Yin's true nature. Also, after learning of Ah Yin's identity, Tang Hao and Tang Xiao weren't fools—they should have taken precautions, like taking a safer route back to the Clear Sky Clan. Yet, they were somehow still discovered—it doesn't add up. Additionally, Tang Hao's father was supposedly gravely ill before learning about Ah Yin. How does a Titled Douluo become terminally ill? It's nonsensical! And to make things worse, Ah Yin didn't die, yet Tang Hao spent his days in a drunken stupor. Tang San, not being a transmigrator, should have died long ago. This so-called "famed Clear Sky Douluo" seems more like a waste! The sequence of Ah Yin's discovery and eventual forced sacrifice will be explained in more detail later.
