The group rested for two days before heading back on the road but for some reason the mercenaries and bounty warriors were all silent during the trip, perhaps due to being unable to put down a carnivorous type plant with their abilities but witnessing a unawakened take it down easily made them carry a grudge.
Walking with the two siblings madoka told them countless times to be on alert as they were getting closer to the land of the abyss and instructed them to stay together at all cost
"I heard there is a giant basilisk living in the mountains who guards the sacred eye" Alonzo said to the two girls.
" The land of the abyss is a place where all sorts of abominable primordial night creatures live, not even the gods could tame them so they were banished into that dark land." Amari said to the brother.
Listening to them talk madoka wondered if any of the gods ever had the courage to claim that land as theirs or they were just too scared to do so .
Getting closer to the place the sky started darkening and there was the awful smell of sulphur in the air ,thin wisps of faint evil magic filled the air due to the resentment and negative emotions of the people that lost their lives there had condensed and shrouded the land making it the perfect breeding ground for chaos.
The closer they got the darker the sky became and the thicker the resentment in the atmosphere became, the group finally reached the edge of the land of the abyss and finally got a full view of what the famous hell on Earth looked like.
The land could be described as dark and gloomy there was no life in sight except for the few crows circling in the sky and the vultures that feasted on the carcasses of those that had once lived . Here were all the skeletal remains of people and animals who had an unfortunate end. The trees were dry and contorted into unusual shapes coupled with the sound of crows made the land look more eerie. The dark mountains surrounding the land made it even worse as it looked like a giant beast in slumber.
" Be careful, stay together and make stealthily" allistor instructed everyone before the group silently went into the land.
Stepping foot on the land madoka suddenly felt a pull towards a particular place in mountains calling her to get closer even the dragon tattoos on her wrists began to get hot under the cuffs of her clothes.
" Hey madoka are you alright" amari nudged her on the shoulder, snapping out of the trance she followed behind the group.
Being in this unfamiliar place they naturally had their guards up and were ready to attack any foreign enemy that appeared, the siblings also readied their weapons amari's weapon being one of her brothers swords.
Suddenly a howl was heard from the east and the whole group froze in place as they looked around for the for the sight of the creature that made the howl.
" Be on guard " allistor shouted at team, hearing the command from their leader the team had a sense of strength and all channelled their abilities ready to attack , suddenly growling noises erupted from the east coming at them .
"We should hide" madoka shouted at the group, judging by the howls made now the creatures might be large in size and the manpower of the team had taken a great toll since battling the scarlet empress and if they decided to go against this new enemy one cannot imagine the outcome
. Although she wanted them to die she didn't want it to be a quick one but a painful one .
" Shut it slut!" One male bounty warrior shouted in anger at her,ever since seeing her take down the scarlet plant all alone they had some resentment and really wanted to physicaly harm her to soothe their bruised egos but it was already planned to leave her here to die.
Staring at the bounty warrior her eyes froze over with a dangerous glimmer and she clenched her fists to suppress her rage. Surprise flashed in her eyes at the sudden anger which possessed her at this time, stabling her breath to calm herself she looked straight into his eyes and was about to say something when a growl was heard.
Looking in the direction of the growl the group saw the legendary kajak , the kajak was a banished primordial beast with the appearance of a giant wolf with three heads and a back full of porcupine like spikes which can impale a grown man.
The multiple dark bloodthirsty eyes of the kajak looked over at the group snarling as it prowled it's way towards them like a predator to it's prey. The group was shocked as they laid their eyes on the enormous body of the kajak with black fur all over it which made it blend with the dark mountains behind it.
" Attack!" coming out of the shocked state allistor yelled out to the group pulling them out of their collective shocks , hesitating this time the group couldn't decide whether to attack or withdraw.
Standing behind the group with the siblings she held both their hands and dragged them to hide behind a large rock when the group and the kajak were having a stare down, hoping the kajak might not be able to sense them .
" I'm not a battle expect but even I know to pick and choose my opponents wisely" amari said looking at the awakened ones who were about to battle.
" That's the ego of awakened ones ,thinking they can take down everything in their way just because they are blessed by the gods" alonzo replied to his sister showing his contempt towards them joining her to watch the good show.
Meanwhile madoka felt the pull towards a particular place in the mountains and the tattoos on her wrists glowed as they burned with wisps of an almost invisible flame like aura.
