I watched as Dad reached for the box and carefully opened it. I couldn't understand why he chose to do this now, of all times, and especially in front of a guest. It felt strange and inappropriate, but I didn't dare question him. Instead, I sat silently, observing his every move.

As the lid came off, he began to sift through the contents of the box. The first thing he pulled out was a stack of photographs. He stared at them, his jaw tightening noticeably. His expression shifted into something unreadable, and for a brief moment, his eyes met mine before flickering toward Adan.

I wanted to ask him what was wrong, but the question lingered on the tip of my tongue, unsaid. It didn't feel like the right thing to ask, especially not with someone else in the room. But Adan, always reckless and lacking tact, decided to break the silence.

"What's that?" he blurted out, pushing himself up from his seat and moving closer to take a look.
