Chereads / Ultimate Luna / Chapter 5 - Kayden!

Chapter 5 - Kayden!

We'd been on the road for hours and I hadn't seen any sign of Liam stopping anytime soon. Kayden was already becoming paranoid and reckless.

"Where the hell is he taking us?! He's been driving for hours!" He growled in my head.

"Relax Kayden, he probably lives really far moreover he's a Lycaon like you." Kayla snapped

"That doesn't mean he can be trusted. My uncle was a Lycaon and he still ended up double crossing my father!"

"Our father. You're just being paranoid! Relax!"

"Don't tell me to relax! You know how much I hate that word!"

"I don't care what you hate and don't speak to me in that manner, I'm older than you!" Kayla growled.

"And I'm bigger in size." Kayden growled.

"Can you guys just stop with the argument." I groaned but they didn't seem to hear me. "Mhhhm." I moaned in pain as I held my head.

"Are you okay?" Liam asked as he shot me a worried look.

"I'm fine just that Kayla and Kayden are at each other's throats, literally." He arched a brow and I sighed. "They're the names of my Wolves."

"Oh. You look anything but fine Iris, you're really pale."

"I'm fine, really." I tried to assure him but he wasn't falling for it. He parked the car and got out. "Seriously I'm fine." I said when he opened the door to the passenger side and pulled me out. "Liam, I..." Before I could complete my statement, he had me pinned against the car with his chest pressed on mine and his mouth close to my ear. "Wh... What are you doing?"

"Relax". He whispered and goosebumps appeared all over my skin. The way his breath tickled my earlobe made me feel things I never thought I could feel. "Your heart is beating so fast, I'm worried you might end up having a heart attack."

"What do you expect?! You caught me by surprise and what the heck are you doing?!" I snapped, getting a hold of myself again.

"Trying to relieve you of your head ache."

"And how do you plan on doing that?" I arched a brow.

"By putting your Wolves in their place."

"I don't think Kayden will like that, he's quite aggressive."

"Even the toughest of all Werewolves can be tamed, you just need to know the right spot to poke." Liam smirked. "Now relax or this won't work."

I sighed then nodded before taking a deep breath to calm my racing heart. Liam closed his eyes and placed his hands on my temples. I was curious to know how he was going to subdue Kayden.

"BOTH OF YOU THAT'S ENOUGH!" I heard a loud roar in my head which led me to wince. I looked up at Liam but his lips didn't move once so who could that have been?

"Who the heck do you think you are to tell us what to do?!" Kayden snarled.

"My name is Aragorn, King of the Lycaons. You both should better behave.... "

"Or what?" Kayden said daringly with a small smirk.

"Or.. " Aragorn took slow steps toward Kayden who seemed a bit intimidated by the aura Liam's Lycaon was emitting. I couldn't really see his Wolf, just its shadow but it looked and sounded really huge. "I'll rip you in half and feed your remains to the vultures, how about that, Kayden." He growled lowly. Kayden whimpered and he and Kayla vanished to the back of my mind. Everywhere became so silent just like how it was before I got my Wolves.

Liam's eyes snapped open and he looked down at me with a small smile. "Better?"

"Much." I nodded. "Thank you."

"Anytime." He whispered and we locked gazes. I didn't realize how close we were until I could feel his heartbeat against mine, could feel his body heat and how firm his chest felt on me.

Unconsciously, I bit down on my lower lip and he jumped back like I had just burnt him. What the heck was that about?

"Well, now that you're better, we should get going, it's late already." He said and opened the door for me. Without another word, I got in and he did the same.

"So... How did you do that earlier?" I asked after about an hour of silence between us.

"Do what?" He asked absent mindedly.

"Get Aragorn to be able to communicate with my Wolves without actually transforming."

"That was easy." He shrugged a shoulder. "It's one of the perks of being a Lycaon."

"Does that mean I'll be able to do that?"

"Probably. With a little practice you should be able to. Speaking of Wolves, your Wolves are quite strong but they just don't know how strong they are yet. They're still babies in their power level."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, when your Wolves reach their power peak, they'll be stronger than Aragorn and the Lycaons combined."

"Stop messing with me." I scoffed.

"I'm serious Iris." He said, glancing briefly at me so I could see just how serious he is. "Your Wolves are very powerful, they just lack proper training and discipline." He made a left turn and then stopped the car at a really huge black gate, then turned to look me in the eyes. "Your parents were very powerful people, especially your father. Even my father feared him so I don't think there's any surprise to you being equally as powerful if not more powerful."

"You knew my parents?"

"Everyone knew who they were. They were popular among the Lycaons and were revered by them. One would have thought they were the King and Queen of the Lycaons." Liam snorted. "You know, in a way you're like a princess or Queen."

"Uh."

"Are you all right?" He asked when he noticed the change in my mood.

I opened my mouth to talk but got interrupted by a knock on the window of the car. Liam wound down and a torch was flashed at us

"Your Highness! Welcome back!" The speaker dressed in all black bowed and then signalled at someone at the gate. A second later, there was a sound and the gate began to open.

Liam nodded at the man before driving in. I couldn't tell if the house was a really huge mansion or a palace because it was just too freaking massive. The house was very beautiful and I could see it clearly because of how strong my eyesight had become since I got my Wolves but I was seething on the inside to actually admire it.

"Iris?" Liam called, snapping me out of my thoughts. I hadn't even realized he had parked the car.

"Why?"

"Why what?"

"If all the Lycaons revered my parents and treated them like that, why didn't they come to help, why didn't your father come to help? My parents were murdered and you Lycaons did nothing! You all just sat back in your mansion or palace or whatever the heck that building is as my parents heads were ripped off their bodies and tossed aside like trash. I watched everything and not a single person came to help not even my parents allies, NO ONE! We were all alone. I became a slave for the very same people that ruined my life, for eleven good years. I was treated like shit! Who would have thought that I was the daughter of the once strongest pack.

You said the Lycaons treated my parents like the King and Queen of the Lycaons but where were they when my parents needed them?! When my pack needed them?! When I needed them?! Maybe if you guys had come you would have known there was a survivor who happened to be a Winchester and I wouldn't have been subjected to all those crap!" A tear dropped from my eye and I wiped it away angrily.

"Iris." Liam called softly and placed his palm on my arm but I pulled away.

"Don't touch me! Why didn't they come to help?!"

"I..." Liam shook his head, not able to say a word.

I sighed and shook my head. I expected him to have a good reason for the Lycaons not being there for my parents and pack but as always, I was disappointed.

"Coming here was a mistake." I murmured and got down from the car. I had no idea where the heck I was going to go to but I sure as hell wasn't going to stay.

"Iris!" Liam called but I ignored him and increased my pace. "Iris, wait!" He caught up to me and placed a hand on my shoulder but I angrily shrugged him off.

"NO! I will NOT stay with a bunch of wolves who can't even protect their own kind. Werewolves are far better than you Lycaons because they will not stand back and watch as their kind is being MURDERED!!" I roared. I could feel Kayden coming to the surface, I needed to calm down.

"You need to keep your voice down Iris, you're in Lycaons territory, they mustn't hear you."

"FÜCK IT! FÜCK IT ALL!" I yelled out loud.

"Iris!" He snapped.

"Until you give me a good reason for your father not being there for my father when he needed him the most, I'll shout and scream as much as I want and neither you nor the Lycaons will be able to do anything about it!"

"Look, I don't know why my father didn't come to yours aid, I can take you inside and you'll ask him yourself but right now, you really need to calm down."

"I don't want to see your father! I just want my papa back! And if none of you can bring him back, there's no reason for me to stay here!" I turned back around and ran for the gate but then something large and heavy slammed into me; it felt like a bus.

I let out a loud shriek and opened my eyes to see myself pinned underneath a monster; a Lycaon, baring its fangs at me, its claws inches away from my face.

"LET HER GO RYAN!" Liam roared but the Lycaon didn't budge.

"Why should I? She insulted us, she needs to pay for that." It moved its fangs closer to my neck. "She's going to be a perfect chew toy." It added in its really deep voice.

"I said let her go!" Liam threatened, he was slowly starting to transform, his shirt slowly getting ripped.

"You're really going to fight your own over some girl?" Some girl? Me?

"She is not some girl!" Liam snarled.

"Get off me!" I snapped and the Lycaon looked down at me with its lips curling up to form a smirk.

"She speaks at last."

"I said get off me!"

"Or what?" It raised its brow in a mocking manner.

"Kayden!" I yelled out loud and I heard his voice in my head.

"With pleasure."

The Lycaon looked confused at first then shocked when he saw me transforming, Liam on the other hand, took a step back and gave me a small nod. This should be fun.
