Chapter 5 - -To Look Like A Villainess

"What kind of cheat status is this?!"

As my eyes were fixated on the stats that I read, I was overcome with utter shock. Not only did Alicia have an affinity with every single kind of magic, she also was only at level three at the start of the game?!

She could have been the real final boss if she even trained at all! I couldn't believe that such talent was just wasted on chasing after a man who didn't even truly love her.

I didn't want to focus too much on that matter because of the fact that I still was trying to open the status menu to get information.

It did in fact, make sense that the Status Menu existed in this world because that feature was used by NPCs as well. In fact, during the tutorial, the NPCs in the game teach how to use the Status menu.

"So, at least some of the functions from the game were still present."

I didn't bother to check if I had a logout feature on the menu because why would I ever want to leave?

If my soul was transferred to Alicia's body, then I likely died or I would have to be in some sort of coma. There was the off chance that Alicia and I had swapped bodies, but that explanation was a bit farfetched.

The conclusion I came to was my body from my past life likely passed away when I became Alicia or maybe even before that. Since that was now out of the way, I focused my attention back on the menu.

There was one option towards the bottom of the menu that is displayed in a highlighted yellow text.

"Relationships."

I moved my gaze to the option at the bottom corner of my screen before tapping it with my index finger.

What opened was a new screen of text with multiple columns of information.

Father: Asher Stardust

Mother: Claire Stardust

Siblings: (None)

Friends: (None)

I can't believe this status was being this cruel... I have zero friends?! I mean, Alicia usually had an entourage of different girls around her whenever she ever confronted the protagonist, but it would be a stretch to define them as friends.

With Alicia's background and behavior, It would be pretty obvious why she wouldn't have friends.

First, the friends would have to consist of high-ranking nobles.

Second, they would have to be able to put up with the nasty and selfish personality of the girl.

For those two reasons alone, the Alicia in the game not having any friends made perfect sense. After all, Alicia couldn't even be bothered to remember the name of the maid who took such care of her.

This did, in fact, lead me to another question: where were the rest of her maids?

A noble with a rank as high as her would have more than one maid, right?

While wasn't entirely sure since the protagonist of the game didn't have access to any maids, but why does Alicia only have one maid?

I didn't dare to spend any more thought on the matter, as I still needed to prepare for the rest of the day.

After looking into my closet, I found countless dresses that all looked extravagant, but at the end of the closet there was one that stood out in particular to me.

It was a red and black evening dress. It looked like an ideal outfit for a Villainess, and I didn't hesitate to choose that dress. However, there was one slight problem... I didn't even know how to put that dress on!

I never had access to such luxurious clothing in my past life, so it was only natural that I had no idea how to dress myself like the daughter of a Duke would. However, this is what maids are for!

Since I had no idea how to dress myself in such lavish clothing, I decided to call my maid to dress myself for me.

I didn't exactly know where Freya had gone off to when I told her to prepare to depart at noon, but based on the alignment of the sun, it looked like noon was getting close.

Before I could walk out of my bedroom to find the maid, I saw a small white box sitting on top of my black dresser.

I hadn't really looked around that much inside of the dress for clothes, but clothing that I did happen to see was very beautiful. Though when it came to the contents inside of the white box, I already had somewhat of an idea.

"Jewlery."

Alicia was such a rich woman that it was only natural that she would have the most extravagant Jewelry.

My thoughts came to be correct as I opened the box. My eyes were greeted by the sight of countless diamonds, necklaces, Golden earrings, and bright amber gems.

However, there was one piece that truly captured my sight. It was a beautiful necklace that's chain was adorned with hundreds of small diamonds and a bright violet gem hung from the bright chain.

The necklace was the perfect piece for a villainess, capturing the appearance of elegance and beauty.

It was the perfect piece to go with my evening dress and with the red high heels that I had slightly gazed at while I was looking in the closet, would make me look absolutely stunning.

Even though I was only going to see my parents, in order for them to agree to my request, I figured I should make myself look as extravagant as possible. I was a Duke's daughter now, after all.

Without wasting anytime I walked out of the bedroom to go searching for the maid, but when I finally left the room, my eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

The enormous hall that stood before me was decorated with a red row of carpet and the white wall that stretched all throughout the massive hall had countless beautiful paintings attached to the wall.

If I wasn't careful, I could end up finding myself lost inside of a hallway this big, so I looked for any semblance of a stairway withing the hall. After straining my eyes in search for a while, I found exactly what I was looking for.

The twirling white staircase was almost too big to be called a staircase. In fact, I wasn't even sure if the staircase would have been able to fit in my old dorm room.

This wasn't even the main house of the Duke, it was a house that he had given to his daughter to live alone in.

"How much wealth does this woman have?"

I found my voice trailing off in shock as observed the massive staircase, but I turned and walked in the direction of the massive staircase while trying to shake off the shock that clouded my mind.

Everything that Alicia had was now mine, so I needed to get used to if it if I wanted to survive.

Now the focus was traversing down this giant staircase. As I continued to walk down it, more landmarks became visible to me through the clear windows that were fastened to the walls.

Massive green trees, lush grass, and bustling city all came and passed by my view. I was pleased to see that this world looked almost exactly like the game did, but my short walk of pleasure came to an end as I finally came to the end of the massive staircase.

A massive room with a giant couch and a vast fireplace were the first things to come into my line of sight, and I made a decision to walk into the room.

At the center of the room was a brown table which was pretty standard for living rooms, right?

That would be the case if that table wasn't about the size of the dining room table that was at the center of my parent's house in my past life.

See everything in this world, or at least everything that Alicia had seemed to be about two times bigger than everything I had access to.

Like what was a sixteen-year-old girl even going to do with a room this massive, truly ridiculous?

However, I was greatly looking forward to snuggling by that fireplace whenever winter came around. That was, of course, if the seasons were the same as the seasons in the game, which at least up to this moment I was unsure of.

Before I could turn to walk out of the room and keep exploring this palace, familiar silver hair eluded the corner of my vision as Freya passed me to the living room and approached the stairs.

It was then that she turned her head and noticed me standing in what I supposed was the living room.

She quickly shuffled to face me and then gave me a polite bow afterwards. I channeled the villainous tone once more to give the maid an order.

"Freya, I need you to dress me so that we can depart. Also, I need you to do my hair and attach my earrings and the rest of my jewelry."

I didn't bother to wait for her response and walked past her to ascend the giant staircase once more, but when I turned my head back to Freya, she displayed her patented close-eyed smile before giving me an eager head nod as she followed me up the stairs.

As I walked up the steps with Freya in tone, I couldn't help but think to myself about how great of a maid she was.
