Chapter 13 - chapter 13 Chased

---

POV Zamiel

I arrived on set, and my manager advised me to rest a little before shooting the perfume advertisement. I sat down and started playing with my phone. After a while, I decided to check the school platform to see if there were any updates.

What I saw left me in disbelief. A video had been posted, and it looked so real that I almost believed it. Then I remembered what had happened in Britain. Almost as if on cue, Jason sent me a video. I opened it and saw Amanda talking to Hazel. Hazel pushed Amanda, and she fell to the ground. Jason added a caption: "Bro, your love is really suffering."

I could not take it anymore. I quickly ran outside and drove off, heading straight to the school.

When I arrived, I noticed groups of students gossiping about Hazel and Amanda. Someone mentioned Amanda being taken to the school infirmary, but I did not care. All I could think about was Hazel. Then, I saw a crowd gathering ahead of me. I had a strong feeling that Hazel was there. I pushed through the crowd, and I was right—Hazel was being humiliated by Lisa.

Without hesitation, I shoved everyone aside, grabbed Hazel's hand, and led her out of the school. I told her to get into my car. Hazel obeyed, and we drove off.

Mrs. Stephen's Meeting

Amanda's mother, Mrs. Stephen, sat in the parlor as she dialed a number. After a few rings, someone answered. She told the person to meet her at a nearby restaurant. Hanging up, she went to her room to change into something more presentable. She chose a long, white flowy skirt paired with a blue top, a wristwatch, and sunglasses before heading out.

At the restaurant, she spotted the man she was meeting. He wore black trousers, a tiger-print shirt, and a black leather jacket. His name was Matthew. He waved her over to his table.

"What is the purpose of our meeting?" Matthew asked as she sat down.

"I think we should eat first before discussing anything," Mrs. Stephen replied with a smile. She signaled the waiter, and they both ordered Eggs Royale Tarts.

Once the food arrived, she leaned in and said, "I have a very special job for you."

Matthew raised an eyebrow. "What kind of job? Are we talking about an assassination?"

Mrs. Stephen chuckled. "That is why I said it is special. You do not have to do anything that extreme. Your job is simple: stalk a high school girl for me."

She slid a photograph across the table.

Matthew studied it and frowned. "Who is she? Why would you ask me to stalk a random high school girl?"

"She is not random," Mrs. Stephen replied. "Her name is Hazel Stephen."

Matthew's curiosity deepened. "Wait—are you saying she is your daughter? You want me to stalk your own daughter?"

Mrs. Stephen shook her head. "No, you are mistaken. She is not my daughter—she is my stepdaughter. That should clarify things. Now, let us wrap this up. Name your price, and I will pay it."

"Five million pounds," Matthew said, testing her resolve.

Mrs. Stephen smirked. "I will double it. I look forward to seeing your great work." She grabbed her handbag and left the restaurant without another word.
