Kazir weakly smiled as he looked at the house. The house that he lived in for a few years. The house that he bought back when he married Cassandra.
The house looked a bit different from what he remembered. It was renovated. Based on the car that was parked in the driveway, it seemed that someone was living in the house.
Kazir and Cassandra reached an agreement where Kazir had to give the house to her just to finish the divorce. Even now, Kazir still believed that his decision was right. He knew how much his ex-wife pestered him just to acquire the house and Kazir had no time for that.
Just as he expected, Cassandra sold the house one month after their separation.

Kazir looked through the window of his Mercedes Benz.
He didn't have anything to do today so he decided to do a road trip and travel around the city. He bought food in three restaurants just to kill time. He didn't have anyone to talk to since most of his acquaintances were busy, they were all adults. Kazir was also single so no love life to pursue.
While driving around, he recalled that he was close to his old house so he decided to check it out and take a look. Well, the house seemed preserved and someone was living in it.
He drove away after checking, no need to stay longer. For him, the memories he had with Cassandra were all in the past. He had no feelings whatsoever towards his ex-wife. His love, hatred, and anger disappeared as the years went by.
Still, he was happy that the house he bought and lived in for many years was still standing and being used by others.
"All my savings working on horror movies went to buying that house so it has sentimental value for me."
If the house was for sale again, Kazir might buy it just for the sake of it.
