"Happy birthday, Kazir!"
Angelina hugged her boyfriend and kissed him. Happy for the small celebration she prepared for him.
Kazir shrugged and sat down. A cake with his age, and a candle with the number of 35, implying his age.
He knew damn well that he was getting old. Still, he was happy for the life he had. He already experienced being old and this was basically his season 2 becoming 35 years old.
In his past life, his 35th birthday was depressing because he spent it alone. He had no one to trust deeply, he had friends but they were more coworkers to be precise.
His status in the industry was stagnant and no hope was showing. He did his best to contact investors to invest in his movie, knowing that his horror movies never performed well at the box office.
The good thing was that he was not in debt.
He was also 35 years old when his father died.
'If I remember it right, next year was the year when Napoleon Dynamite was originally released.'
Napoleon Dynamite was released in 2004, that year was the time when Kazir heard the news that his father passed away. He visited the funeral but received a punch from his brother instead.
This time, Kazir promised that the tragedy wouldn't happen again. He would live a happy life.
He looked around and saw his friends with whom he had formed a connection. Now he was not alone.
Angelina knew that Kazir never liked luxurious parties so she decided to keep this party small.
However, the people who attended the party were not simple at all.
Tom Cruise was talking to Tom Rothman regarding possible cooperation. 20th Century Fox was getting better and Tom's career had a lift after winning the Oscars last year.
Agent Salvatore and the Cinematographer Rector were also invited. Unfortunately, Producer Harold didn't have the time to attend because he was busy. Although he sent a gift, an expensive bottle of wine.
Palenque Simone and Fremont Smith also attended the party even though they were busy. The two directors were now working on their projects.
Palenque with Game Of Thrones while Fremont was looking for scripts that he wanted to film. If Fremont couldn't find a script, then he would write one himself. Although he was not sure if he had the talent to do so, he understood that someone like Kazir was hard to find.
It was a small group but they were friends and acquaintances that Kazir made along the way.
His family was also in the house. Aaron and his father were at the party.
Kazir couldn't help but be happy seeing them. Especially his father. Surely his father would remain healthy this time. Kazir begged his old man to hit the gym and exercise at least twice a week.
The chances of his father having a heart attack were small... Unless a terrible accident. Unexpected events like that were impossible to evade.
Kazir knew that he did great. His life now compared to his past life was vastly different. Like black and white.
The people around him were waiting for him to blow the candle.
He closed his eyes.
'I hope our lives will keep getting better.'
He wished silently and blew the candle. Everyone clapped and the party kept going.

September passed and theaters cooled down since it was not a busy month.
There were no significant movies released that month which was understandable.
However, the huge movies that were released in the summer still made money despite the weak schedule.
When September ended, Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl already grossed $296 million at the North American box office. It was close to surpassing $300 million.
Internationally, the pirate-themed movies already made $283 million. Combining the two box offices grossed Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl with $576 million.
Everyone was surprised but also not surprised. There were a lot of factors why the pirate-themed movie was successful such as the stunt choreography and the storytelling. Of course, having a star-studded director was also one of the factors.
Now, Kazir officially broke the curse that pirate-themed movies would never make money.
"Skill Issue. Get Gud."
That should be the best replies towards Carolco Pictures and Universal Pictures, the two production studios that failed to deliver great pirate-themed movies, Water World and Cutthroat Island.
Even college professors studied Kazir's formula for how he broke the curse.
Well, if there was someone who would bring changes to Hollywood, it would probably be Kazir. Since he already brought so many changes.
Kazir popularized the realistic action stunts.
He also started the first successful Cinematic Universe.
He was the first director who produced two $1 billion movies back to back.
He was out of this world. Truly a director that deserved the respect of many people.
As for The Equalizer, after 60 days of screening, the movie grossed $177 million at the North American box office while the overseas performance was $161 million. Giving The Equalizer $338 million.
Grey Pictures was quite in a tight spot a few months ago but now they could breathe slightly better. 20th Century Fox already sent them $100 million for Pirates Of The Caribbean and $70 million for The Equalizer.
The contract regarding the two movies was that 20th Century Fox would be responsible for the distribution in exchange for 25% of the box office.
25% for 20th Century Fox.
40% for Cinema Alliance.
Leaving Grey Pictures with 35% as their share. The good news, as always, was that Grey Pictures holds the copyrights of these movies and they could control how they could sell their TV broadcast rights.
The DVD copies were also not a problem, Grey Pictures would have the bigger profit. DVDs had better profit than the box office in the long run. Because Grey Pictures could sell DVDs for years to come by and the profits would increase.

[Yeah, I was gone for quite a while. Stuff happens but it's more about my mental health. I will count how many chapters I owe you tomorrow. By the way, I just checked the poll and I'm surprised that Scarlett Johansson actually surpassed Angelina Jolie! That's actually shocking, I didn't expect that to happen. I guess my plan is still going to happen. I thought my plan to add Elizabeth and Mara to the plot would be futile but I guess it'll work out fine. Thanks for all of your help guys, I know I'm kinda missing lately. My health is fine, I think so, my mind is just out of focus lately. I'll try to do better. And yeah, it's too bad that Jennifer Connelly and Kate Beckinsale didn't even have the chance to fight at all
