Chapter 95 - 357

"Why do bad things keep happening to us? Why!?"

Ronald Meyer couldn't help but ask himself, gritting his teeth in anger and disappointment. He was angry that their big movies this year were sniped by their rivals, losing them the chance to make more money.

This year, Ronald could already predict their status in the ranking. Universal Pictures would be the lowest in the Big Six.

Sony-Colombia already had steady franchises to make money while Universal Pictures had nothing except Jurassic Park and The Mummy. Anything after that were mid-tier franchises such as American Pie and Chronicles Of Riddick/Pitch Black.

Universal Pictures could start the remake of Jaws but that kind of genre already lost all of its novelty. There were already a lot of shark horror movies in the industry.

To make it worse, Sony-Colombia, the company that leveled up from its lowest spot was asking to buy the copyrights of King Kong!

Everything was messy lately.

Johnny Depp lost to Bad Boys II.

American Wedding also lost against The Equalizer.

There was no good news at all. Ronald Meyer felt that Comcast might kick him out of Universal Pictures, pushing all of the blame on him.

If he knew that this would happen to him if he tried to destroy Kazir's reputation by spreading false news that the guy was a wife-beater, he would immediately stop his past self from blowing himself up.

For some reason, Ronald felt like what he did to Kazir was the catalyst of this outcome.

Everything started to go downhill after he tried to sabotage Kazir.

'... If we can't work with Kazir, we might as well destroy his image.'

That was his idea a few years ago, and now, it seemed that this idea was resurfacing in his mind.

Actually, Ronald Meyer didn't know this but Kazir stole some movie franchises from Universal Pictures.

The Fast And The Furious.

Meet The Parents Trilogy.

Bruce Almighty.

Jason Bourne Series.

Wanted.

These movies were originally from Universal Pictures.

Yes, Universal Pictures fucked up big time but they were clueless about how much they lost. They just knew that Kazir Grey and Grey Pictures were one of the factors why their company was slowly sinking.

They now hit rock bottom and truly became the weakest of the Big Six this past few years.

"..."

Ronald gritted his teeth and decided to do what he should do from the beginning.

He was a cornered wounded beast and his fangs were still sharp. Before he lost his position, he would make sure that Grey Pictures would be badly affected.

"Secretary," Ronald called his secretary.

"Yes, sir."

"Look for a private detective, I want the best one. Someone who can keep his mouth shut and slippery."

The secretary was confused but she decided to follow his instructions.

"I will look for any dirty secrets that can destroy your image. If the last time was false allegations, then this time, what you will face is real."

Ronald realized long ago that Kazir would never work with Universal Pictures. There was no reason to act friendly, he might as well destroy the guy in one incident.

....

....

...

"Achoo--!"

Kazir sneezed hard and wiped his nose. He got a runny nose after working on the set of Game Of Thrones. He was close to finishing the filming of the first five episodes of the Game Of Thrones and Palenque Simone would take over after that.

So far, Kazir's deduced that the set was doing wonders and everyone was cooperative. There were instances in which some actors would hate other actors. But Game Of Thrones was peaceful, so far.

'This is just the start of the season. Things are going to change after that. The actors will definitely ask for salary increases and some actors might become jealous of other actors after that.'

Bill Murray and Lucy Lui from Charlie's Angels actually hated each other off-screen. One of the reasons why Charlie's Angels never got a third movie.

Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, these two hated each other while on the set of Mad Max: Furry Road.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Vin Diesel, The Fast and Furious franchise.

The list keeps going on.

'... I can't believe that I will return to filming Spider-Man again.'

The atmosphere on the set of Spider-Man was kind of eerie for Kazir. Especially when the producer and one of the cast didn't like each other.

Jezebel Salome and Kirsten Dunst. Jezebel was a strict woman and she didn't like Kirsten's free attitude, of course Kirsten also didn't like Jezebel after those hurtful words she said.

'The set of Spider-Man 2 will probably lack female workers as well since Jezebel didn't like working with other women.'

Actually, Kirsten wanted to leave the franchise. She didn't want to be Mary Jane anymore, Spider-Man gave her a lot of bad memories. Jezebel Salome and Angelina Jolie, to be precise.

However, Sony-Colombia was afraid that the franchise might be affected if she left so they calmed her down by using money.

Money could buy a lot of things after all.

Kirsten was only for the money but her determination for the franchise was long gone.

"... Next year might be a difficult year for me."

Kazir sensed the disturbance in the force. Something was coming, and he didn't know if he could overcome it or not.

Life was like an elevator, sometimes you're way up there, and sometimes you're down to the underground parking.

Kazir readied himself for he knew that life gives sour lemons... He might have to learn how to make lemonade.
