Some of the females in the audience squealed as Jay Leno showed Kazir's topless pictures. In these pictures, Kazir was walking on the beach while wearing sunglasses.
Kazir chuckled, slightly blushing, embarrassed about it.
"I actually don't know how tabloids found those pictures. At that time, the production took a break so I decided to go to the beach and have some fun. They probably took those pictures while I was on break."
He casually lied while keeping his grin. These pictures were taken as a way of promoting the movie. Not coincidentally, but intentionally.
But of course, Kazir had to keep the novelty. In this industry, lying was always part of the job.
Oh, you tore your ACL while filming an action scene? How brave and dedicated you are? How can you still run like a cheetah then?
Oh, you don't have a stunt double? What, you're going to latch on a plane a hundred feet above the ground? Wow, does your insurance accept that kind of notion?
So you don't take steroids? You became a buff dude in just two months? It's because you're eating healthy meals every day and going to the gym while keeping a perfect lining of muscles. Yes, yes, you're not lying.
In this industry, lying was always part of the job.
"So where did you get your inspiration for this movie?"
"I'm not going to lie, I actually thought of a movie about pirates movie while riding one of the rides in Disney World."

The first day(July 9, 2003) of Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl was $13.50 million.
Unlike Spider-Man which grossed $39 million and The Revenant which made $15 million on their first day, The Curse Of The Black Pearl had a lower box office.
However, 20th Century Fox and Grey Pictures were already satisfied by this result. Their expectations of this pirate movie were not that high.
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines only made $9 million within the same day so The Curse Of The Black Pearl easily won first place that day.
The second day, July 10, Thursday, Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl made another $10.48 million.
The movie had an unorthodox premiere, The Curse Of The Black Pearl had its premiere on Wednesday.
On Friday, July 11, the movie made another $14.84million.
On Saturday, July 12, another $17.41 million.
On Sunday, the movie made another $14.37million.
The first weekend of Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl grossed $70.62million.
These numbers made many people shut their mouths tightly. The publishers that were ready to bash the movie stopped their intentions before making a joke of themselves. The critics who wanted to criticize the movie also turned quiet.
There was no reason to bash a movie that made $70 million at the box office. After all, money was an important aspect of the industry.
The plot of the movie was great. It was also entertaining. The portrayal of the cast was impeccable.
No matter what the "professionals" said, the movie was a success. The audience had fun watching the movie which was the important thing.
Some of the movie critics were disappointed to find that Kazir returned to his usual style-- entertaining the mindless audience instead of making an art film about the hardship of human life. Ah truly disappointing.
Now that Kazir got what he wanted from the Academy Awards, there was no reason to please them... Unless Pirates Of The Caribbean would have a chance to compete at the Academy Awards.
Johnny Depp's performance as Jack Sparrow was praised by many people, even critics. He has a chance to compete for the Best Actor, although his chances of winning were dim.
However, the movie had an amazing Makeup, Character Design, Sound Editing, and also Visual Effects. In this aspect, Pirates Of The Caribbean could probably fight for at least one or two Awards.
The news that week was about Johnny Depp's amazing performance and how Kazir Grey destroyed the curse of pirate movies.
Water World was a flop.
Cutthroat Island was also a flop.
But Pirates Of The Caribbean was the opposite of a flop.
After that, the run of Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl at the box office went well.
On the second week, Friday, July 18, The Curse Of The Black Pearl officially surpassed $100 million. To be exact, the movie grossed $109.47 million.
Everyone was surprised but also not surprised. If Kazir was the director, surely the movie would make money.
However, on that same day, the movie met a tough opponent.
Bad Boys II was the sequel to Bad Boys that was released in 1995, and directed by Michael Bay. Starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
Martin Lawrence and Will Smith were famous black actors, having dozens of movies under their belts.
To make it tougher, Michael Bay was also an amazing director. He was famous as the explosive director, not because of his explosive behavior but because of his addiction to explosions. This director loves exploding stuff.
Bad Boys, The Rock, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, and now Bad Boys II.
His filmography was comparable to Kazir's because all of his movies were profitable. The only difference was that Kazir produced one movie per year while Michael Bay could only make one movie every two years. In that aspect, Kazir was better.
The first day of Bad Boys II made $16.88 million, $3 million higher than the first day of Pirates Of The Caribbean.
On the second day, July 19, Bad Boys II made another $16.20 million. It was $6 million higher than the second day of Pirates Of The Caribbean...
Perhaps... Perhaps Pirates Of The Caribbean would lose against Bad Boys II.
