Nikolas and Luca strolled through the castle's corridors, heading towards the garden, enjoying the warm evening sunlight streaming through the windows. Suddenly, Lord Raven comes out from a nearby room, his eyes fixed on Nikolas with a piercing gaze, his expression twisted in hatred.
Nikolas felt a shiver run down his spine as Lord Raven's gaze bore into him. He knew that Lord Raven blamed him for the death of his daughter, Lady Victoria, who had been killed by Alexander in a fit of rage. Nikolas had been the main source for that event and Lord Raven's anger was still high for him.
Lord Raven's just passes by Nikolas and Luca, his silence more effectively than any words. He didn't even acknowledge Nikolas' presence, let alone offer a greeting.
Nikolas and Luca exchanged a look, and Luca whispered, "He couldn't even greet you. That's rude."
Nikolas hit Luca lightly on the head, his expression serious. "He is still a lord, and I am human."
