After much fighting princess Diamond was able to separate the two from killing each other. It turns out that her uncle had been planning some kind of coup d'état and had enlisted the help of the silver eagle's assassins to take out every member of the royal family.
Gale tempest the hooded assassin was sent along with two other assassins to impersonate the princesses' guards and then assassinate the princess in the forest. "So what changed your mind? Okuagu asked. as he massaged the wound on his shoulder. "Well I'm tired of assassin work and it's against my principle to kill or hurt pretty girls" Gale smiled exposing his teeth.
"Firstly I thank you for foiling the assassination attempt on my life and secondly you're not my type"said the Princess . "You could have left the second part out" murmured the assassin. "I will forgive your previous crimes on one condition" the princess added raising a finger. "What condition? Asked Okuagu and Gale at the same time. "You will escort me to the hunter's lodge" replied the princess as she got up of a log "That's where am headed too" Okuagu said with a smile. "Just Great" remarked Gale sarcastically. "I know right" added Okuagu. The next problem was for them to fake the princess's death. "I have an idea" suggested Okuagu "But you will need some spare clothes" Okuagu added. Both the assassin and the princess's eyes opened wide in shock.So after much scurrying around the princess settled for the clothing of one of the 'guards' while her cloth and armor was scattered on the floor after which Okuagu sprinkled blood on them from the other deceased guards. "We will need some flesh" suggested Gale. "This will do" added Okuagu as they put some boar flesh into the clothing to suggest that they were attacked and devoured by a wild beast. Some wolves' footprints were faked and after some time of faking, the whole scene looked like a place that fell to wolf attack. "Wont your parents be worried and distressed" asked the assassin. "My mother died while giving birth to me while my father should be dead by now" replied the princess with a fake smile. "So I've decided to pursue my passion of hunting and come back someday to impale my stupid uncle" added Princess Diamond. "Sorry about that but I guess I could put my assassin skills to good use and join a squad, after all money and women would be assured" Gale said with a grin."Pervert! Shouted the princess along with Okuagu. "So onward towards the hunting lodge "added Gale. "First I have to get a dress" the Princess pointed out as she examined the chainmail and hood on her body with disgust. "I know a perfect place" Gale said as they proceeded towards a small town called Brigsville to get some things for the princess.They reached Brigsville by nighttime and decided to get lodgings in an inn by the name of 'Dragons breadth'. The princess wore a mask to conceal her identity and sat down at a table with Okuagu while Gale went to arrange some lodgings. "So do you have any relatives? Diamond asked as she wondered what was taking Gale so long to arrange their lodgings. "They're all dead" replied Okuagu as he dug into the food in front of him. "Sorry about that" added Diamond "It's no big deal after all their deaths only made me stronger" Okuagu said as he took a sip from the mug on the table only for him to spit out."This is poison" remarked Okuagu as he looked around surprised to see people actually drinking this stuff. "It's just beer, though your right it is more of a poison if you ask me replied Diamond with a chuckle. "The lodgings are ready your majesty'' Gale said with a mocking tone. "Very well and remember to keep your voice down Idiot'' murmured the princess as she punched him in the belly before making her way towards her room. "Goodnight" she added as she went towards her lodgings. "So it's just you and me Okuagu" Gale said as he took a big gulp from his mug. "Are you sure you should be taking that" Okuagu asked with a frown. "Why not it is perfectly good Lionsdale beer" replied Gale. "Suit yourself, so the silver eagles right? Asked Okuagu. "Yes yours truly was one of the most dangerous assassins to ever walk the earth with a success rate of ninety-nine percent" replied Gale who after some mugs was getting tipsy. "Interesting so your gift involves wind right? "yeah I am the wind and the wind is me" replied Gale with a laugh. "Must be drunk" reasoned Okuagu as he helped him towards their room.
