Daemon was being encouraging and all, but that only served to stoke the invisible flames of Zina's frustration. Right then at that moment, she didn't need to hear encouraging words or anything of the sorts, what she needed instead was to set herself straight on her current reality, which was the fact that there was something dangerous about her.
It might not be obvious yet, but all the facts that had presented themselves before her and Daemon in the past few weeks was all the evidence she needed.
Feeling uncomfortable in his hold, she detangled herself from his embrace and she watched as a flicker of annoyance shifted in his eyes.
"Today, I met with the man we have been looking for." She announced while staring intently at him, eager to single out any reaction he might have.
Apart from the slight, almost imperceptible tensing of his shoulders, Daemon might have as well acted as though he already knew about what she spoke of.
