Zina should be thrilled that Daemon had found a solution to this problem of theirs, but she couldn't help the feeling that all was not as it seems. Whenever she remembered the ransom letter that Daemon showed her earlier, coupled with the events that night, her heart almost… hurt?
It didn't make sense, but that was how she kept feeling. Like she was doing something so wrong… like she was losing sight of some big picture.
Regardless, she forced a smile although it wasn't necessarily a reluctant smile on her part. She was actually majorly happy that Daemin had managed to find someone so capable that would handle their situation. But apart from the issue of the mystery man, she had one topic she had to broach with Daemon.
It was a topic that she dreaded, and one that the visions she saw in Kairos' blue eyes drove the point that she must address the matter.
