The merchant had appeared in the Silvermarket one day, completely out of nowhere.
At first, the people of Dawnspire were intrigued by this mysterious figure. After all, it wasn't every day that a stranger arrived in their city without so much as a word or gesture, draped in a flashy and bright robe and obscured by shadows. Even the most illiterate and foolish country bumpkin would exclaim in awe. They had approached it with curiosity and asked it questions, expecting it to share its origin with them. But the merchant had remained silent. It hadn't even bother to acknowledge their presence.
As time passed, the curiosity of the citizens had turned into frustration as being ignored felt like an insult.
Some felt disrespected by the merchant's silence, while others grew angry at being treated like they were invisible.
