Chapter 49 - 49

Qin Ruan was momentarily stunned. This was the first time she had heard Wen Yixin say she liked her. Even when they had first started dating, Wen Yixin had only mentioned trying out the relationship but had never explicitly said she liked her.

Almost instantly, the fragile expression on Qin Ruan's face melted away, replaced by pure joy.

Bathed in the light of the setting sun, Qin Ruan's eyes sparkled as she held onto Wen Yixin's hand. "Sister, you like me?"

It was as if she couldn't believe it, and she asked again.

But Wen Yixin wasn't impatient; instead, she responded slowly and clearly, "Yes, I like you, I like Qin Ruan."

Qin Ruan heard it, loud and clear.

Her eyes curved with delight, a shimmering light flickering within them. "Sister, when did you start liking me?"

"Hmm..." Wen Yixin paused for a few seconds, then replied with a warm smile, "Strictly speaking, my feelings for you developed over time."

At first, she had felt pity and care for Qin Ruan, but as time passed, those feelings gradually turned into love.

Qin Ruan's smile deepened, her fingers gently caressing Wen Yixin's hand as she curiously asked, "Sister, what do you like about me?"

After asking, she couldn't help but add a self-assessment: "I don't have much to offer. It seems like the only thing decent about me is my face."

Could it be that Sister liked her face? After all, not long after they met, Sister had complimented her looks.

Wen Yixin chuckled softly, her hand tenderly stroking Qin Ruan's hair. "For me, liking someone is a feeling of being moved."

"When I see you, my heart skips a beat."

As she spoke, Wen Yixin lowered her head, gazing into Qin Ruan's eyes. "Ruan Ruan, you're the only one who makes my heart flutter."

"No matter the present or the future, you'll always be the only one."

Qin Ruan's eyes curved even more, Wen Yixin's words pouring into her heart like sweet honey.

She smiled so brightly, her eyes forming little crescents, but then she heard Wen Yixin ask her:

"So, Ruan Ruan, what do you like about me?"

Qin Ruan blinked for a few seconds, then earnestly thought about it before slowly replying, "I like that you're gentle and considerate, emotionally stable, and most importantly, being by your side makes me feel at peace."

Seeing the seriousness on her face, Wen Yixin couldn't help but laugh and hugged her, saying, "Alright, I understand."

Qin Ruan instinctively wrapped her arms around Wen Yixin, and even after Wen Yixin released her, the joy in her eyes remained.

"Ruan Ruan, let's go home," Wen Yixin said.

Qin Ruan beamed, "Alright, let's go home together, Sister." To the home that belonged to both of them.

Wen Yixin's smile was gentle as she nodded.

That night, Qin Ruan's lips wandered over Wen Yixin's skin, lingering longest on that delicate waist.

Her cool fingertips gently circled Wen Yixin's navel, tracing round and round.

Her warm lips moved in tandem with her fingers, and finally, step by step, Qin Ruan fully and completely possessed Wen Yixin for the first time.

From body to heart, she completely claimed every inch of Wen Yixin's skin, truly experiencing the deep connection and harmony that came from their mutual love.

Afterward, Wen Yixin, feeling parched from the exertion, noticed her lips were dry and her throat was thirsty.

"Ruan Ruan, I need to go out and get some water," she said, nudging the person nestled in her arm.

Qin Ruan looked up, blinking her eyes. "I'll go with you, Sister."

"I'm a little thirsty too." They had been in such a rush earlier that they hadn't brought any water into the room, so now they had to go to the living room.

Wen Yixin nodded, "Alright, let's go together."

Qin Ruan quickly climbed out of bed, smiling.

In the living room, Wen Yixin picked up a clear water pitcher and tilted it, the transparent liquid slowly filling the two glasses on the table.

She handed one of the glasses to Qin Ruan, "Here, drink up."

A breeze blew in from the balcony, lifting a corner of the curtain. Qin Ruan, holding her glass of water, glanced over and said, "Sister, I think the balcony door isn't closed."

Wen Yixin drank all of her water before setting the glass down. "I'll go check."

"I'll go with you," Qin Ruan quickly finished her water, set down her glass, and followed Wen Yixin.

As the blue curtains were drawn back, the silver moonlight poured in, spreading a shimmering light across the floor.

Qin Ruan looked up at the moon and couldn't help but say, "Sister, the moon is so bright tonight."

"I didn't expect a crescent moon to be this bright. I thought only a full moon could be this luminous."

Wen Yixin turned to look at Qin Ruan, noticing how the moonlight illuminated her face, making her appear as radiant as the moon itself.

She smiled softly, "Is the moon really that bright tonight?"

"Very bright," Qin Ruan nodded, then asked her, "Don't you think so, Sister?"

Wen Yixin shook her head slightly, "I've seen an even brighter moon."

"Hm?" Qin Ruan asked in confusion, "When was that?"

Wen Yixin's smile deepened.

"It's close to me, so close that the last thing I see before I fall asleep and the first thing I see when I wake up is that moon."

As Wen Yixin spoke, Qin Ruan's heart skipped a beat.

She turned to look at Wen Yixin, her eyes sparkling like stars. "Sister…"

Just as Qin Ruan began to speak, her lips were suddenly kissed.

She blinked and saw Wen Yixin's gentle eyes in front of her.

Then, she saw those eyes curve into a smile, and a soft voice reached her ears.

"That moon is you."

"You're the one and only, my moon."

"Sister." Qin Ruan couldn't help but throw herself into Wen Yixin's arms.

Wen Yixin laughed as she hugged her back, but then she felt a soft sensation around her ankle.

She looked down, "It's Xiaoli."

Qin Ruan followed her gaze and saw that Xiaoli had quietly walked over, its fluffy tail curling around Wen Yixin's ankle.

She couldn't help but laugh, then slowly leaned in to kiss Wen Yixin again. They embraced under the moonlight, their lips locked in a deep, lingering kiss.
