"Big sister wasn't joking. I feel all kinds of weird things right now. Almost like my body had been completely at a stand still. Almost everything is numb and tingly…" Moigit responded, struggling to move.
"I agree, whatever you did sister, it was weird… Though it definitely worked. And I think my mother had been watching us just then. I heard or felt her panic for a moment just before the connection was severed." Frayrsis said. "I am starting to get some feeling back though." He added shaking out his body. It was similar to how a dog shakes off water.
Brightness just continued consoling Night Silver. She must have used a lot of her magic. And if what I suspect is correct, it was enough to affect the great mother as well. This woman I love just continues to give me more reason to love her even more. "Sil, I think you might have accidentally targeted the Great Mother with your magic. I may not know much about the limits of your power. But even I can tell that whatever you did had a heavy impact upon you." He spoke, tenderly… Rather, as tenderly as a dragon's voice would sound anyway.
Night Silver's lips curled into a smile. "You're adorable when you care about me like that." She said, slowly sitting herself upright once again, flipping her hair as she did so. "If what happened just now caused that great mother of yours even some degree of suffering, then it was all worth it. With how fast I recover mana I'll be fine in an hour or so. But, since I'm so drained, I really will need you to carry me back to collect my people." She teased. I'm not nearly that exhausted. But this way I can get away with a cute smile and see Brighty blush… Ah, just like that. She smiled and tilted her head ever so slightly to the side accentuating her appeal.
Brightness quivered and gained feeling back in his body. The other two, Moigit and Frayrsis also experienced a spit take moment and stretched out their wings.
"In that case, we will be your guards, big brother!" Moigit confidently said.
"Bold of you to assume you're strong enough to be our guard…" Brightness chuckled with a dragon's smile. "But I'm sure you'll do a great job. Remember that there will be a lot of people to carry. So be prepared." He added with a hearty laugh. The laugh of one intoxicated by the feeling of happiness, specifically the one born of love.
"Alright, we've already had too many distractions. I want to return to my people and put their minds at ease. After all, to me they all feel like children." Night Silver explained, with a tinge of concern for her people.
"Don't worry Sil, we will be there shortly. You stay there and let your body rest upon mine." Brightness said, spreading his wings out in preparation to climb into the sky. "I quite enjoy the sensation." He murmured just before taking off from the ground.
"Pfft, you're just a loveable dragon aren't you. Oh you're blushing, so bashful pfft." Night Silver teased. Then laid down to get as much contact with Brightness as she could. She even removed a few things she wore all the time to really be close. "You're my love. I'll do this for you now. Just don't get jealous of the children when it's story time for them." She added.
"Huh? I see, you let the young cozy up close to their godmother. It's no wonder the people love you so much. Don't worry, I won't get jealous. Unless it's another man. Then I might." Brightness said, declaring his mindset.
"Oh? And what if I take another woman to bed with me? I'm not averse to such relationships. Rather I think I'd quite enjoy such company. And you'll be keeping me waiting for so long while you practice transformation." Night Silver said, at first teasing, but she was also gauging the response. After all, she already had such an agreement with the Goddess of Water.
"Hmm, I don't see that as an issue. Such a relationship seems like it could be good for both of us. I'm sure having a network of women you can get along with will be helpful when you're carrying our child." Brightness said after thinking about it for a moment. "Just try to keep men out of it… Actually I don't think I have the right to ask that of you…" He added after thinking about it for a moment.
"Hmm? What do you mean by that, Brighty?" Night Silver asked, curious about the motive. I wonder, did he sense that I had those thoughts…
"Well, I thought it might be an interesting idea… Well, that is… I accidentally saw one of your ideas. Though it was a half thought and incomplete…" Brightness answered embarrassed.
"OH! You mean that one. Yeah, I was going to ask you how you felt about that particular reward. It's not like it would be all too often. And that's if someone managed to pull off something I'd deem worthy of such a reward." Night Silver replied, thinking it was about the massive reward she was thinking of previously. "For a woman it wouldn't be as difficult a task. But for men, it would have to be something that improves the lives of the people. There will of course be a few other things that I could make an exception for. I may be called a god but I'm hardly omniscient." She added, sitting upright and shrugging. Her mana recovered to a degree high enough to avoid lethargy.
"I see, Well I think it's a great idea actually. If no one meets the requirements then it's fine, they would have been motivated to as much as they could possibly have been. And if someone does manage to meet the requirements, then they will be granted the right to have their child share blood with the goddess they revere." Brightness stated, in a steady unshaking voice.
"Yes, I agree. Since I'll be taking you as my husband You'll have to help me make those requirements. Just don't go too hard on them." Night Silver smiled.
"Sister, you're rather open aren't you? Revealing yourself like this?" Frayrsis mentioned with a sigh as he caught a glimpse of perfection.
