"Don't worry about that, I have ways of flying. Worst case I can always transform and carry everyone that way. But that'll be a last resort. I wouldn't want to frighten anyone." Night Silver said, slowly releasing Rocky Breeze's chin from her hand. "It would be nice to stay here until sunrise. How long are your people expecting you to be away for?" She asked crossing a single arm underneath her bosom, holding it in place by grabbing the other arm. Her other hand was preoccupied with tapping her chin.
"Well, a group this size will usually be out for 2 days at minimum. We haven't been gone all that long yet either. Not even a half a day." Rocky Breeze answered. Will we get to stay the night with our Goddess? Such a joy!
"Excellent, then I'd like for you to join us here. Food is best enjoyed with company. We can head out tomorrow. That said… It would be for the best if someone returned to your people to inform them of what you've found. Surprises like a Goddess showing up out of nowhere isn't exactly a great surprise on an elderly person's heart." Night Silver explained in a cheerful, yet serious tone. "You'll have to make the choice whether to send a group back or not. I'll leave it up to you." She added.
"That's a tough choice… We have to send back a group large enough to be taken seriously when they report back. Also so they don't think we all died out here. And we also need to escort our goddess." Rocky Breeze said, straining to hold his head up. He felt the weight of this choice and his responsibility as well. He turned to look at a few of the younger warriors. Among them were red cheeked young women and squirmish young men. "The two of you, as well as you two. You will remain here with our goddess and escort her back to the tribe tomorrow morning. The rest of us will return home at once to prepare the reception. I'm sure the elders of the tribe will be falling all over themselves once they hear the news." He ordered, pointing out 2 men and 2 women.
"Thank you, commander, we won't fail this sacred holy mission." the four young warriors replied with the enthusiasm of thousands.
"Good, then we will head back now, with your permission Goddess." Rocky Breeze said, clearly reluctant to leave. Why couldn't I be one of those four! I want to stay with Goddess too!!! His mind was practically screaming at himself.
Night Silver looked at the four that were to remain with her. "If this is what you've decided, then I won't stop you. Have a safe trip back. However, before you go, take this back with you. It should help you convince anyone with doubts. It's but a small thing, oh, don't eat more than one of these in a day. Not that you'll feel the need to, but I give the warning just in case." She explained, handing over a small sack filled with several berries she made. I know these aren't anything all that special anymore. But, it should be enough to make them up there on the mountain tops feel way better. It must be difficult acquiring proper nutrition up there. Perhaps I can figure out a solution to such an issue at some point…
"A gift from our Goddess! I uh…" Rocky Breeze stammered in shock. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Goddess is so magnanimous! Praise her Holy form! "Since the Goddess herself is entrusting me with this, I vow this gift will be delivered with the utmost care." He continued, having found his voice again, as the sack was placed in his palms. It's heavy… Whatever this is, I'm sure it is a good thing.
"There's no need to go all religious about delivering a package. Like I said, it's only a small thing for me to make, but I have a feeling it may prove to aid your tribe. It must be hard to find suitable food, living on the mountains. This should help to alleviate some of those issues for a short time." Night Silver explained with a soft giggle. It really would be nice if they were to deliver it without issue, but just in case I'll cast a few buffs on them. A few invisible lights surrounded the winged humans who weren't going to be staying behind.
"Thank you, Goddess." Rocky Breeze said, noticing he felt a little different, though he couldn't tell exactly why or what it was. Did she give us some kind of divine protection? Then I shouldn't waste anymore time! "We are returning to bring the greatest news. Our Goddess has made herself known! Fly!" He ordered, shooting up into the sky with the beating of his wings.
"Yes sir!" The rest of the troops responded, each shooting up as well. Only one of them without a complete weapon.
"Ah, alright, now that they are gone. Let's eat. What do you want to have this time?" Night Silver asked, turning around to look at her people's reactions.
"Since we've got company, only a Roast Pig will do, right?" The Dwarven leader suggested with a hearty laugh.
"Any objections?... How about you four?" Night Silver asked.
"Goddess, what exactly is this Roast Pig? I've never had it before." One of the young women asked, as her wings beat excitedly.
"Oh? You're in for a real treat! It's the juiciest, tastiest meat ever. The bites melt in your mouth with an explosion of flavor. It also goes great with this drink here!" A dwarf chuckled down the contents of his pint sized mug. When he fell over, the other dwarves started laughing.
"I can't say I've had anything that tastes quite like that. We survive off of what small monsters we can hunt down and the various mountain herbs and berries." One of the young men explained, with drool pouring from the corner of his lips.
"Pfft, try to save your drool for the actual meal. Alright, since it's a pig we need time to create one." Night Silver giggled, and with a silent call, a different kind of magic circle appeared out if it came a fully grown pig. "I'm glad I learned this magic. It's been extremely helpful." She said with a smile.
It didn't take much longer after the summoning for the pig to be completely roasted, magical fire generally has such results. And so a small feast was held.
