Chapter 2 - chapher 2

"I need your help, Sheldon," Leonard said to Sheldon.

Sheldon - "What help do you need, Leonard?"

"I need you to help me pick up Penny's TV from her ex-boyfriend's house," Leonard said.

"Alright," Sheldon responded to Leonard with a nod and confirmation.

"Leonard, are you really trying to have coitus with Penny?"

Sheldon asked a question that had been on his mind for a while.

"Whatever, you don't stand the slightest chance of having sexual intercourse with her," Sheldon said.

"Let's go, I don't want to take too long. I just want to finish in time to start working on my research."

They said goodbye to their friends and Penny and went straight to Leonard's car, which was parked in the building's garage. Leonard's car was somewhat expensive because he had recently exchanged it for a new one, meaning it had a lot of security features. Sheldon approved of the additional security that this new car provided.

In his previous world, he was also obsessed with security because he had attracted the curiosity of Mehrunes Dagon and Hermaeus Mora. With both of them trying to place his soul in their realm—so he wouldn't become a slave or servant to two Daedric Princes—he had researched a spell in the Dwemer ruins to send his soul out of Nirn into another world.

Sheldon found himself lost in thoughts about his past in Skyrim, not even noticing how quickly time flew—faster than a snake striking its prey.

As they arrived at the location, Sheldon and Leonard stepped out of the car simultaneously.

Leonard approached the apartment door and rang the doorbell.

A muscular guy came out of the apartment, wearing only pants.

"Hey, do you need something?" the shirtless guy asked.

"Hi, I'm Leonard, and this is my friend Sheldon. We came to pick up Penny's TV."

Without saying much, the shirtless guy shut the door in their faces.

Sheldon then knocked on the door.

The same guy came out of the apartment again.

"If you don't leave now, I'll send you home without your clothes," the shirtless guy said.

"Is that a threat? I don't like threats," Sheldon said, with anger in his voice.

"Alright then."

The guy threw a punch at Sheldon.

Sheldon took the hit directly but didn't feel anything, as if the punch were made of cotton.

"You're pretty weak, caveman."

Sheldon lifted the man by the neck with one hand and said, "Why don't you save me the trouble of beating you up and just give me the TV for Penny?"

Sheldon spoke to his newfound punching bag.

The muscular man was running out of air, his eyes widening as Sheldon applied too much force to his neck.

"P-please... p-please..." the man barely managed to say before Sheldon released him, letting him fall to his knees.

Cough... cough... cough, the man started coughing after falling to his knees. "Alright, you can go inside and take the TV. I don't want any trouble, man," he said, his face clearly filled with fear as he looked at Sheldon with terror.

Leonard stood in silence, watching the interaction. He couldn't believe what had just happened. Sheldon had literally beaten up a huge guy like Kurt, Penny's ex-boyfriend. Leonard thought it was very similar to comic books, where a superhero gains superpowers and defeats a villain or a bully in a fight. This situation seemed straight out of a Marvel comic.

Leonard stopped overthinking for a moment and went over to help Sheldon disconnect the TV cables.

Sheldon and Leonard left Penny's ex-boyfriend's apartment with the television. They loaded it into the trunk and drove home.

In the car:

Leonard - "What the hell was that, Sheldon? It was like... you didn't even feel his punches, just like in the comics. He hit you, and it seemed like nothing. How?"

Sheldon - "I've been using my eidetic memory to train in martial arts for a year, which is why defeating that brute was so easy for me. He's just an idiot with brute strength and no technique behind his punches."

Sheldon - "Who knows? Maybe now you have a chance with Penny. Just tell her that you were the one who rescued her poor TV from its kidnapper—her ex-boyfriend. Oooo."

Leonard - "What the hell is that 'Oooo,' Sheldon? I don't moan with excitement when I think about Penny. I'm not like that."

Sheldon - "Says the guy who told me during a past car ride that his kids with Penny would be beautiful and intelligent. If that doesn't sound like you're thinking with your lower brain whenever Penny is involved, then I don't know what does."

Sheldon and Leonard arrived at their apartment building's parking lot. They took the TV out of the trunk and carried it up to Penny's apartment, which was next door to theirs.

Knocking on the door:

"Penny... Penny... Penny..."

Sheldon knocked three times.

"Hey, guys! You got the TV!" Penny said happily as she saw the TV in their hands.

"Thank you so much, guys! Don't you want to come in and eat something? I called the pizza guy. I think it's a good way to reward you for bringing my TV back."
