Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: The Development of the Dragon Empire

After his triumphant return from the dungeon, Lu Ming took a moment to assess the territory he had built. He knew that if he wanted to maintain his growing power and expand his domain, he had to strengthen his base of operations.

---

**[Territory Description]**

Lu Ming's territory, known as the **Abyssal Dragon Empire**, was situated in a vast valley surrounded by mountains and dark forests. At the center of the valley was the **Dragon Fortress**, an imposing construction of black stone and obsidian, whose towers seemed to tear the sky. The walls, reinforced with draconic magic, were practically impenetrable.

Around it, buildings were arranged in a circular structure, organized to optimize both defense and production. Barracks and barracks were located near the outer walls, allowing soldiers to quickly mobilize in case of attack. Further inland, there were areas dedicated to resource production and storage, such as blacksmith shops, granaries, and weapons warehouses.

In the innermost part of the territory, where Lu Ming's administrative buildings and throne room were located, stood the **Dragon Plaza**, an open space where ceremonies were held and important orders were given.

---

Standing in the **Dragon Plaza**, Lu Ming looked out at the boundaries of his territory with a clear goal in mind: he must improve and expand every corner of his domain.

**"System,"** Lu Ming thought, activating his interface. **"Summon more Draconic soldiers and workers. I need them to patrol the borders and strengthen our defenses."**

**[System Notification: Summoning 500 Draconic Soldiers and 300 Draconic Workers...]**

In a flash of light, the new soldiers and workers appeared before him, lined up and ready to receive his orders. The imposing and well-armed Draconic soldiers immediately dispersed, beginning to patrol the territory's borders. Meanwhile, the Draconic Workers, who were distinguished by their sturdiness and manual dexterity, awaited their leader's instructions.

But Lu Ming had something else in mind. **"System, display the upgrade options for the Draconic Workers."**

---

**[Upgrade Options Available:]**

1. **Promote High Draconic Workers to Draconic Craftsmen:**

- *Description:* Draconic craftsmen are masters at creating weapons, armor, and fortified structures. They possess advanced forging and construction skills, allowing them to significantly improve the quality of the territory's buildings and equipment.

- *Cost:* 800 gold coins for every 100 workers promoted.

2. **Advanced Draconic Worker Training:**

- *Description:* Allows Draconic Workers to gain specialized skills in resource gathering and infrastructure maintenance, increasing the overall efficiency of the territory.

- *Cost:* 500 gold coins.

---

Lu Ming did not hesitate. **"Promote 200 High Draconic Workers into Draconic Craftsmen. System, execute the upgrade."**

**[System Notification: 200 High Draconic Workers have been promoted to Draconic Craftsmen. -1600 gold coins.]**

Before Lu Ming's eyes, the selected workers began to glow with a golden light, and their bodies transformed. They grew taller, their hands gained supernatural dexterity, and their eyes shone with creative intelligence. They were now true master craftsmen, capable of transforming the territory with their skill.

**"Draconic Craftsmen,"** Lu Ming ordered, **"I want you to improve our defenses, fortify the walls, and expand our infrastructure. This territory must be impregnable."**

The craftsmen nodded and quickly spread out to begin their work. With their advanced skills, they soon began improving the structures, reinforcing the walls, building new watchtowers, and creating more powerful weapons and armor.

---

As he monitored the progress of his craftsmen, Lu Ming noticed a familiar figure approaching from the skies. **General Varkon**, in his draconic form, landed with a rumble, folding his wings before advancing towards Lu Ming with a proud expression.

**"Master,"** Varkon said with a bow, **"I have returned from my mission. All enemy villages within a 50 kilometer radius have been eradicated. We have crushed anyone who dared to resist. In addition, we have recovered 2,000 gold coins and additional resources that could be useful for our future campaigns."**

Lu Ming smiled upon hearing the report. Varkon's success meant more power and security for his empire. **"Good work, General Varkon. Your efficiency is unmatched. These resourcess will be of great help to us."**

**"Thank you, master. I have left a few detachments of soldiers in the conquered villages to ensure that no resistance arises again."**

**"Excellent,"** Lu Ming replied, satisfied with his general's performance. **"Now, we will focus on further strengthening our defenses and preparing the next step. The Abyssal Dragon Empire must be ready to expand even further."**

---

With the territory constantly developing and his forces increasing, Lu Ming knew that his power was growing by leaps and bounds. The outside world would soon learn of the Abyssal Dragon Empire and tremble at the mention of it. But for now, he focused on consolidating what he had achieved and planning his next move, aware that each step brought him closer to his ultimate goal.

The chapter ends with Lu Ming observing the progress in his territory, aware that true power lies in meticulous preparation and strategic expansion of his domains.
