Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: army expansion

Lu Ming stood observing the development of his territory from the Abyssal Dragon Altar. The fortress was taking shape quickly thanks to the Dragonian workers, and the security of his empire grew with every soldier he summoned. Since his last expedition into the depths of the cave, he had amassed a massive amount of gold coins, totaling 1600, providing him with a unique opportunity to increase and enhance his forces.

"It's time to expand the army," Lu Ming thought as he activated the system and accessed the summoning function. He knew he couldn't be complacent, especially in such a hostile world. With the coins he had accumulated, he was ready to elevate his military power to new heights.

**[System: Summoning activated.]**

Lu Ming summoned a large number of **Dragonian Soldiers** and **Dragonian Workers**, also upgrading many of them to their superior versions.

**[System Notification: Summoned 30 Dragonian Soldiers. Cost: 1500 Gold Coins.]**

**[System Notification: Summoned 50 Dragonian Workers. Cost: 1000 Gold Coins.]**

After the initial summons, Lu Ming accessed the upgrade section. The Ancestor had previously explained that with additional coins, he could upgrade both soldiers and workers, transforming them into more powerful units.

The High Dragonian Soldiers not only possessed an imposing presence with their more resistant natural armor and sharp claws but were also more intelligent and tactical in battle. Their ability to follow complex orders in combat made them a formidable force.

High Dragonian Workers, on the other hand, were masters at construction, mining, and gathering, with superior strength compared to basic workers. They could perform tasks with a speed and efficiency that surpassed any other species.

When Lu Ming finished summoning and upgrading his troops, he took a deep breath. He now had an impressive army:

- 20 **High Dragonian Workers**

- 10 **High Dragonian Soldiers**

- 50 **Dragonian Workers**

- 30 **Dragonian Soldiers**

With his new army assembled, Lu Ming moved to the center of the fortress to inspect the preparations when one of the Dragonian Workers burst in, panting and visibly frightened.

"Master Lu Ming! Orcs! A large number of orcs are approaching, just 4 kilometers away!" the worker shouted urgently.

Lu Ming's face tightened immediately. He hadn't expected an attack so soon. "How many are there?" he asked, clenching his fists.

"Many, my lord! At least a hundred, led by a giant orc. They seem well-organized."

Lu Ming nodded and looked around. There was no time to waste.

"Prepare for battle!" he commanded, his voice echoing throughout the territory.

The soldiers and High Dragonian Soldiers quickly lined up, forming organized ranks. The workers, though untrained for combat, also took positions to support the soldiers if needed. Each knew what was at stake: the survival of their territory and the future of the Abyssal Dragon Empire.

The Dragonian Soldiers, with their impressive wings and claws, appeared as living towers of power and determination. The High Dragonian Soldiers, even more imposing, led the ranks. Despite being outnumbered, their strength and discipline could balance the scales.

It wasn't long before the orcs appeared on the horizon. The first to arrive were the orc scouts, followed by a wild horde of warriors, all armed to the teeth with swords, axes, and spears. Leading them, General Gromak, a towering figure in bone and metal armor, advanced with brutal confidence.

"So these are the famed draconians!" Gromak roared as his army deployed in front of Lu Ming's defenses. "Today, your so-called greatness will be crushed under our boots!"

The Dragonian Soldiers did not respond to his taunts. Instead, their eyes remained fixed on their leader, Lu Ming, awaiting orders. Lu Ming extended his wings and flew above the army, surveying the approaching orcs.

"Let the orcs come," he murmured to himself. "Today will be the day they taste the fury of the draconians."

The orc general raised his massive axe, signaling the start of the battle.

"Crush these lizards!" he shouted, his voice echoing across the battlefield.

However, Lu Ming was already prepared. With a simple gesture, the High Dragonian Soldiers advanced, leading the first clash against the orc forces. The battle that would determine the fate of his growing empire had begun.
