Without warning, it unleashed a torrent of red flames, scorching the air as they roared toward him.
The rabbit sprinted, heart hammering, dodging between the pillars and debris as the heat singed the back of his neck.
The flames licked at his heels, relentless and wild, as the serpent's fury followed his every move. He was running out of space and options, but he couldn't afford to stop now.
Mattheos plunged his blade into the floor, using it as a springboard to propel himself into the air. With a burst of speed, he soared toward the serpent, landing with a thud on its massive, fiery back.
The heat radiating from the scales was unbearable, but Matt steeled himself, focusing on the task at hand. Summoning his Spark, he let the dark, crackling energy engulf his palm, the purple and black flames dancing hungrily around his fingers.
With a determined shout, he slammed his flaming hand down onto the serpent's gleaming scales, aiming to breach its seemingly impenetrable defenses.
The serpent's body trembled under the force of the strike, the Spark's flames searing into its radiant hide, seeking a weakness in the fiery armor that had defied his blade moments before.
The bunny could feel the intense heat push back against him, but he held firm, refusing to let up, desperate to break through the serpent's defenses before it could strike back. Inti howled in pain as the purple and black flame destroyed the scales upon the afflicted area.
The serpent roared in anger, its massive body convulsing violently. Matt was thrown off with tremendous force, hurtling through the air before slamming into the ground.
He rolled to his feet, disoriented but quick, just as the serpent unleashed a massive amber fireball in his direction.
Mattheos dashed forward, his eyes locked on his sword embedded in the floor. He grabbed the hilt and, in one swift motion, swung upward, cleaving through the fiery projectile. The flames parted, dispersing into glowing embers, but the serpent was relentless.
Its enormous head lunged, jaws snapping open to swallow him whole. With a burst of speed, Matt leaped into the air, narrowly dodging the serpent's deadly bite. He twisted in mid-air, hovering briefly above its neck.
Gritting his teeth, he raised his sword, now crackling with black and orange mana, the energy surging around the blade like a storm.
He gripped the hilt tightly, feeling the raw power coursing through his arm, and prepared to drive the weapon down with all his might, aiming for the serpent's most vulnerable spot.
"Fourth Sin; Chaos Bloodspiller, Satan!" roared Mattheos, making two horizontal slashes onto the Inti's scales.
The rabbit's strikes carved through the air, leaving arcs of black and amber light that crashed onto the Solar Serpent's back like crescent moons.
Each hit detonated in a burst of deep orange flames, scorching through the serpent's defenses and shattering more of its radiant scales. For the second time, Matt could see the vulnerable red flesh beneath the serpent's hardened exterior, raw and exposed.
He noted that using his Seven Deadly Sins, he could delay the regeneration and also stun the enemy for a moment. Perhaps the Solar Serpent isn't that powerful...
The sight of the exposed flesh spurred him on, his determination flaring as hot as the serpent's own fiery breath. Now, he had the chance to strike where it truly hurt, to prevent this battle from turning into a stalemate.
The rabbit forced his arm to move once more to stab the flesh, only for the Inti's tail to block the attack.
Mattheos cursed under his breath, swiftly backflipping away as the serpent's tail whipped toward him, erupting in a blaze of flames that scorched the air where he had just stood. He landed in a crouch, glaring at the serpent with narrowed eyes, frustration boiling over.
He had had enough of this relentless game of evasion and defense.
Gritting his teeth, he tightened his grip on his blade, feeling the weight of the weapon anchor him. He closed his eyes for a brief second, centering himself, then channeled a surge of mana into the sword.
Dark energy crackled along the blade's edge, black and orange flames swirling around it like a tempest, growing in intensity with every heartbeat. The mana pulsed, responding to his call, and the rabbit felt the familiar rush of power flooding his veins, sharpening his focus.
"Fifth Sin: Nightmare Lava, Leviathan's Oblation!" called out the frustrated bunny.
He crouched low and sprinted toward the enemy, weaving, and slashing in a relentless dance of steel. Each strike found its mark, leaving a trail of wounds across the serpent's scaled hide.
As the Solar Serpent attempted to evade, Matt mirrored its movements with the precision of a predator, a reflection of Leviathan's own nature.
