Charles was utterly exhausted. It had been a long and strenuous day since morning, and the absence of John and sickness of Eric had increased the load of responsibility on his shoulders.
Adding to his shoulders , no messages had come from John, which further added to his concerns. Despite this, his assistants had told him that everything was fine at the warfront.
He sighed tiredly as the Weary and overwhelmed had taken over him. Charles massaged the area between his eyes in an attempt to relieve the tension. He had reached his limit for the day and decided it was time to call it quits.
Closing the door of the headquarters, he started walking down the long, dimly lit corridor of the castle, making his way to his room, craving some peace and solitude.
As he passed by the guards they all bowed and greeted him respectfully as he nodded and opened the door of his room
Charles carefully placed his crown aside after he told all the maids to leave him alone, acknowledging his exhaustion.
He extinguished all the candles, then threw his body onto the softness of his king-sized bed, preparing to close his eyes. However, something in the atmosphere made him sense a presence within his room.
But he could never not to recognize that soft and warm aura but at the same time it was trickery aura and he knew exactly whose aura it was.
He glanced upward towards his window, where Han was sitting on the edge of the window .The soft glow of the moonlight enhanced Han's appearance, showcasing his smile and how his hair was styled upside not like the usual where his blonde hair falls on his face
Charles, feeling weary, spoke out, "What do you want, Han?" In a playful tone, Han responded, "Guess what? I have a surprise for you~"
Charles raised his eyebrows in curiosity as Han jumped down from the window and proclaimed, "Follow me!"
With a wide smile, Han kicked the door open and walked out, and Charles found himself not surprised by Han's disrespectful behavior, accustomed as he was to such antics.
They both walk out the castle as han take him to the Traitors torture area. Charles'S curiosity had grown even more as he pushed the tree's branches away since this area had been long abandoned
Han led Charles into a darkened room, illuminated only by the dim glow of flickering candlelight. Bound to a chair sat a man whose face was covered in blood, his expression one of utter despair and desolation.
Charles's eyes tinged with a hint of red as he glanced at Han, who presented the man with a cheerful "Ta daaa~"
Charles crossed his arms and asked with a mix of surprise and annoyance, "Why is my assistant here, Han?"
Han's mischievous excitement grew as he declared, "The fun part is about to come~" He retrieved a small box, placing it ceremoniously on the table and flashing a wide smile.
Charles approached the table, his curiosity piqued. Opening the lid of the box, as he discovered that the box filled with envelopes of letters. He carefully picked one and read it, his expression turning somber and shocked.
"These are all messages from John.." he managed to utter in disbelief. Charles read through each message, his confusion and anger growing with every word. The contents revealed the disturbing nature of the human soldiers, who were treating war like a form of entertainment.
Charles exclaimed in disbelief, "What is this?!" Han's smile widened further as he looked so pleased "well let us ask that traitor shall we?" He says as he approached the bound assistant. He poked the man's head with his finger, and then feigned disappointment. "Oh, but how could I forget? He's placed a curse upon himself not to speak!"
