once again Lunar awoke to the scene of poverty and emptiness. No furniture or decorations existed in this house that had been created in desperation by his ancestors. Although it crumbled and broke often it held a warmth that Lunar never experienced before. In that brief moment of escape reality crashed back into him.
'Aaaah I'm fucked. Why does my other half have to have such a past, couldn't his family be a bit less dangerous. At least this was resolved before I took over otherwise my headache would be too painful.' Lunar thought while pinching the bridge of his nose.
'Lets see, his parents were both rebels that were arrested and tried as traitors of the empire due to revolutionists planning an attack at the same time as the parents protest. This caused both their execution and the only positive is me going to a prestigious school so I can be monitored better; I guess they took "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" literally.'
'Well let me ignore all of that for now and look around since it's better to confirm the memories since who knows what could have been changed especially in a mystical world that defies common sense.' Lunar proceeded to get off his so called bed and scan the area.
The house was hand made by his great grandparents since they owned some unused land; altogether it was a humble amount of land (enough to build a small sized farm) but it still was enough for them to be complacent- or at least it was supposed to be. Engel and Helene the parents of Lunar0.5 were tired of the unfair treatment they got whenever they visited a town or city such as raising prices, abusing them and humiliating them by throwing trash at them just because of their talent so they decided to take action and bring together a group of inferior and below talents together to make change and make the world more fair. Albeit this ended in their demise due to their plebian status and unfortunate timing, it could cause a flame of hope to be ignited in the hearts of the lowly.
'If the memories serve right then I should have two pairs of clothing: two for personal use, one for work and the last for school. The more I think about it the worse it seems seeing how I don't have enough money to buy any cultivation pills and can barely support my self with a pay of 3 spirit stones per hour as a waiter. Looking at the bright side as a student I can get free meals and better housing with campuses so I can focus more on cultivation.'
'Looking at the position of the sun it should be around 6 so the transport to school should be here in about an hour.'
Lunar then took a sack of hay and decided to sit outside. The breeze of wind allowed Lunar to cool of and get his mind off all his problems. After an hour a screech shocked Lunar as he looked up only to see a dot getting bigger and bigger it's shape resembled that of a bird however the proportions were wrong since it rivalled the size of a house.
Lunar gazed at the beast in awe as it's flame like feathers danced in the wind and the beasts eyes gazed down at him with apathy. On top of this fearsome creature stood a man with robes as blue and clear as the sky.
"Oi you there! Why are you just standing there like a dumbass hop on we got somewhere to be." said the man.
'this guy seems strong but he sure does have a way to piss people off'
"Yeah I get it I'm coming" said Lunar.
As he found his seat on the Brid Lunar saw five other noble dressed and privileged looking kids. Just looking at them angered Lunar as reminded him of his incompetent boss that pushed all the work on him and then took the credit.
'That bastard is probably cursing at my dead body for creating more work for him' Lunar thought with his vain almost popping.
"You better watch that gaze of yours new kid" said one of the students Hero with his face dazzling and soul energy almost crushing Lunar.
"Ok everyone I know we are excited to start school but refrain from causing annoyances for me" The man in blue robes.
'Damn powerful monsters think they can try and destroy my peaceful life well watch me prevail in my survival' Lunar swore at the sky.
The bird soared to the sky showing the many grass lands that encompass the world. The sun may shine down upon the great continent ever elevating its beauty but scars of the past were made more clear showing the imperfectness and strife of the place Lunar must now call home.
