"Master, the tracker has been disabled" Said the young witch as she bowed before the man seating at the head of the table.
"That's good" He said turning to this right hand man. "Pay her off and make her disappear" He ordered, making the young witch shiver. The other man nodded, walking the witch out of the room.
'Lets see what other cards you've got up your sleeves, Raymond.' Grey thought as he went left the office heading to the dungeon.
He hadn't seen Anna in a while and has been really worried about her since his 'father' visited her.
He couldn't understand why his father hated her. She seemed pretty okay to him, especially her feistyness. That should be the reason his father dislikes her. He hates feisty people. He is a coward and cannot stand challenges. Luckily neither he nor his brother got that characteristic.
He stood in front of her cell listening to her breathe faintly. He heard the breathing because he was a werewolf, an ordinary human wouldn't hear it without the aid of a stethoscope which got him even more concerned.
He unlocked her cell door, taking a deep breath and pulling it open. The sight he walked in to see was way beyond what he had expected. She laid on the cold floor unconscious and immobile, looking completely lifeless and wounded.
He hurried closer to her taking her up in his arms, careful not to get close to the silver. She winced as his arm grazed the wound on her side and upper back. He tried to move his hand away, to adjust her properly but she winced again harder this time.
He looked angrily at the chains on her wrists that kept restricting him, in a second, he cut them off, freeing her wrists.
She sighed faintly in relief at the freedom, leaning deeper into his arms. Sighing, he took her to her mattress, laying her on it, carefully. When she had settled, he took his time, studying ever inch of her body.
He felt his heart shiver at horrific looks of her wounds. His father had overdone it, so much he couldn't help but feel his heart hurt in his chest due to the overwhelming feeling of empathy he felt for her.
The urge to help her escape from the horrible dungeon was prevalent in his heart but he knew he had to push it down, starving the thought. In as much as he felt no hatred towards Anna and just a little for his brother, he couldn't leave Adam yet, until his brother becomes stronger, way stronger than his father. Until then, he'd just have to keep enduring being a puppet. Until then...

"Finally." Lily said sighing in relief as the other men around her turned to look at her.
"What happened?" Asked Darius.
"We finally have them, exactly where we want." Lily said looking pointedly at her crystal.
"You are speaking in parables, Lily. Now is really not the best time." Darius said closing the magazine he has been holding up, trying to block away the tension that had been swirling across the room since Raymond entered.
"Ughhh, don't be slow child! Who else would I be talking to you all about If not Anna's captors?" She snapped turning back to her crystal.
"Captors?!" Raymond said his ears perking up as he moved swiftly to Lily's side, completely forgetting about the paper work he had to complete.
" Yep. They called in a small young witch to neutralize my spell but being a young witch, she wasn't able to realize that it wasn't just a tracking spell but a locator, now I have a shield over all the captors in the veil that could help us track them, no matter where they go." A broad grin played across her face as elation filled her heart. It's been ages since she's been able to pull a trick this good.
"Wow" Raymond said taking a step back breathing heavily as he rubbed his palm across his face. " So where are they now? How do we get to them? How many of them are there?-"
"Hold your reins, Mister. I've just found where they are located, but in a few days we should be able to find out how many there are. The locator spell is transferred on contact. As the located person gets closer to an unlocated person, the unlocated person contacts the spell and becomes located.-"
"- So right now, the numbers are still counting, when it is stable, we would have our stats, with 70% accuracy." She said putting her crystal in her sack and taking her meditation pose.
"Okay. That was a genius move, I must commend you. But isn't there a way to speed things up? Maybe make them come in contact more?" Ray said looking pleadingly at her.
"My child, there is but that's a longer route."She said taking his hand in hers. "Something tells me that if we try to make it faster all of a sudden after they had just removed the tracker, they'd get suspicious and try to seek reinforcements. I really need this to go easy and less bloody and patience is the only way to get that at the moment."
"But-" Raymond started.
"Listen to her, Son." Everyone turned to the door to see who it was. Laura stood by the door with Rosie who held on tightly to her, hiding her face in her skirt.
"Mom?!" Ray scolded going towards the door. " What are you doing here?"
"Raymond!" Rosie shrieked running to hug Ray who caught her in his arms and raised her in his arms cuddling her tightly, sniffing her scent. It wasn't until then he realized how much he missed them both.
"I've missed you, Ray." Rosie said as she sobbed into her brother's shirt.
"I've missed you too, baby. So much." He said, running his hand through her hair.
"That's a lie. Remember, no lies." Rosie raised her head from his shoulder giving him an accusatory look.
"I'm not lying, baby. I really did. I've just been occupied." He looked up to his mother who just stood there with tears clouding her eyes. It made him wonder why she had tears in her eyes.
"With what, Ray? You said you'd never be too busy for me until you find your mate. Have you found her already?" The little girl asked, the fear of being abandoned clearly written on her face.
"I-" Ray started, not too sure of how to respond.
"Princess, come here" Darius cooed opening his arms for her to come into. The little girl turned to Ray for permission and ran to the other male as he nodded in approval.
'Thanks, Darius' Ray said through the mind link as he went with his mother to the adjoining room.
"Mom, I said I was going to send the driver." Raymond said after offering her a seat.
"And why didn't you tell me you had found your mate, Ray bunny"
"I.. I didn't want to rush her. Or me. There were and are so many complications, Mom. So much I can't even wrap my head around them anymore. It's exhausting. And Lizzy-" He immediately stopped, realizing he was beginning to say too much.
"It's okay. I know she's around, although we haven't spoken yet. I expected you to bring her home, but it seems you have a whole lot of other things to deal with."
"I'm so sorry, Mom." Ray said, his head lowered in exasperation.
"It's okay, baby. It's completely fine." She took his hand in hers, caressing it softly. "As long as she's okay, I'm okay. I just want my children and I to be happy, that's all."
