Chapter 121 - The Battle of Tumbleton II

(Third Person POV)

"What in the hells?!" A Knight shouted as Vermithor was heard roaring loudly, "Has nobody killed him?!"

As hordes of soldiers swarmed through the streets, they could hear the clashing of steel and screams of men mixed with the violent thudding of a dragon trashing around the eastern side of Tumbleton.

As they made their way through where the sounds came from, they froze completely and widened their eyes at the sight before them; piles of bodies were scattered at the side of the street as soldiers charged at a single figure that instantly cut them down with ease, blood flying out everywhere.

"By the gods...." one of the soldiers dropped his spear, standing there and watching in pure shock, "H-He's not human...."

Aerion Targaryen mowed through soldiers by the second, swinging his sword with such blinding speed that was inhumane. Every second, limbs flew out as screams followed, and the bodies of dying men dropped to the ground, forming massive pools of both blood and guts on the ground.

Despite this, it was quite surprising that Aerion did not slip at all from the blood that he spilled, he merely kept taking steps forth, blocking incoming sword swings with one of his and countering with thrusts of his other one, stabbing through them like they were made out of paper.

As this happened, Vermithor was in the distance, crushing men that swarmed from the other side of the street, taking several into his mouth and occasionally firing bursts of fire at those that annoyed him. He crashed against a building, causing it to collapse as he was shot at by archers on the roof and even set one ablaze, burning any soldier that tried to escape his ire. He let out roars that terrified the Stormlanders, causing several to run away in fear.

Aerion pushed through, slashing through many men as they fell down with ease, "You don't have an end do you?" He said, "Bring me Borros! I will have his fucking head and have him rue the day he grew the balls to refuse to bend the knee!"

"He's only one man, what is so hard to kill him?!" A soldier wielding a spear said as he charged at Aerion and thrust the spear

Aerion parried the spear and swung Lamentation down to cut it in half, "I remember this." He said as he spun as a follow up "Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken."

He then cleaved through the soldier's head, causing it to fly out as blood flew with it. Aerion stopped and as he flicked his the blood off his blade, the head rolled on the ground, followed by the rest of the body.

"Hm. A bit different." Aerion said, "Oh well, can't complain."

"FOR AEGON!!!" A group of soldiers cried in unison as they charged through

"Oh?" Aerion said as he placed his swords in front of him in a cross-position, "Come!! Die for your King!"

Two of them reached Aerion and swung their maces at him but The Mighty was too swift for them and had already rushed past them, cleaving through their bodies, the valyrian-steel edge proving superior to their mere iron-plated armor. The soldiers immediately collapsed to the ground with pained shrieks as Aerion lunged at the next person.

He parried the soldier's sword and immediately swung his sword down, cutting his chest, and immediately spun around for a slash at a nearby knight who tried to flank him, cutting through his cheekbone and halfway into his skull, immediately killing him. His lifeless body plopped on the ground, adding more blood to the pool that was already prominent in the street.

"Come now." Aerion said as he parried incoming attacks and countered with his own sword swings, easily cutting them like weeds, "Is this all you lot can offer? You're boring me!!!!"

A soldier rushed him, swinging his short hammer at him. Aerion crouched down and in an instant, thrust his left sword, Lamentation, right into his chest. The blade immediately pierced through the armor and the man dropped his weapon.

"W-Wait!" He cried as many of his comrades rushed to aid him

Aerion then pushed the blade further in and charged forwards, thrusting Lamentation into the next man that was behind the first, skewering him as well with ease.

"Aghh!!" the man said as Aerion pushed them still

Lamentation was barely long enough to stab the third man, who was unfortunately short enough for his throat to be the target of the point of the Royce ancestral sword.

As Aerion had three whole men skewered, he easily parried and blocked the attacks of two men that rushed him he had the men pinned to the wall, blood pouring from their wounds as they yelled out in agony.

"Y-You demon!" a man shouted as Aerion easily parried his sword with Lady Rhea and countered with a swift flick, nicking his exposed wrist, "A-Aghh!! H-How dare you!!"

The man dropped his weapon and his wrist was covered in blood, pouring down onto the ground. His fellow companion tried to intervene but was close enough for Aerion to thrust Lady Rhea into his mouth. It was done so effortlessly that many who witnessed it would agree it was impossible. But it was, Aerion Targaryen did just that.

"Demon, you say?" Aerion said as he still had the three men pinned, "Hm."

Aerion pulled Lamentation out of the men who collapsed down, dead. In a swift motion, he swung it at the man whose wrist he had cut and immediately decapitated him.

He then rushed at another group of incoming men, who were able to avoid the chaos that was Vermithor spewing flames into the street to cut off the horde of soldiers.

"Call me what you will!!" Aerion said as he easily cut them down, blood spraying everywhere, "But I will do what I will to ensure that the rightful heir sits on that Throne!!! Treason will not be tolerated and all of you have forfeited your lives the moment you marched with Borros Baratheon!!"

Aerion met another wave of incoming soldiers, who were met with the two valyrian steel swords. With each swing, blood and limbs flew out into the air and as every step Aerion took, more men collapsed to the ground, either dead or close to it.

Vermithor, in the distance, was crushing even more soldiers with ease. It is unknown if either of them has more kills than the other, but it's safe to say that they have easily killed near the hundreds.

Breaking through a crowd of soldiers who were frozen in pure shock, Borros lifted his hammer up into the air, "CURSE YOU, AERION TARGARYEN!!!" He bellowed, "I will bash your head in!!!"

Aerion stopped and pointed his sword at him, "Borros!!!" He shouted, "Your head is mine!!!! Orys Baratheon, The Conqueror's brother, is rolling in his grave!! You betrayed your sworn kin!!!!"

"Nonsense!!" Borros said, "I bent the knee to the rightful King, Aegon, second of his name. He, who bears the conqueror's name!!"

"You will be remembered as an arrogant traitor, found dead in Tumbleton!!" Aerion said

Borros stepped forward, "We shall see, boy." He growled, "A Tourney is one thing, but the battlefield is another thing!! MEN!!! He's mine!!! Bugger off!!! Kill the wretched beast!!! Today is the day the Warrior Incarnate dies!! I will march my men to Dragonstone and take your wife and sisters, Aerion!! That is a promise!!"

As the soldiers stopped their advance on Aerion, the Bronze Dragonlord straightened up, flicking both his swords to the side, blood flying out of their edges. The sight of piles of dismembered bodies was a grotesque and horrifying sight, especially when the massive figure of Aerion Targaryen stood in front of them, his armor beginning to have a shade of red.

"The Stranger will walk these lands and bathe in the rivers of blood I have prepared for him." Aerion said seriously, "And the first soul he will gather will be the Traitorous Stag. You have chosen your fate, Borros."

Borros charged forward, "Serving your head on a platter will please The King, boy!!" Borros shouted, "You are nothing but a mama's boy, begging for his head to be shattered!!"

As he reached Aerion, he swung his warhammer, only for Aerion to sidestep and immediately hit Borros with a shoulder tackle, stumbling the Storm-Lord.

"You ignorant bastards, those older than me and mine wife." Aerion growled, "All you imbeciles look down at me, think of me as a mere child. That mentality has forced you to underestimate me and it is your undoing, Borros!!!"

Borros swung his Warhammer again, "Die, boy!!!"

"Your daughters will bear children who will never meet their Grandsire!!!" Aerion said as he parried the hammer with Lamentation and countered with a quick thrust with Lady Rhea, "Who will Aemond's child call grandfather? Certainly not you."

Lady Rhea pierced through Borro's shoulder, impaling him through the iron plating, blood pouring out.

"A-Aghh!!!" Borros shouted, "Y-You fucking twerp!!"

Aerion pulled the sword out and kicked Borros in the knee, buckling him completely and with a quick motion, he swung Lamentation at his neck.

"LORD BORROS!!!" Several Knights shouted in horror as the Storm Lord's head flew out from his neck

Aerion flicked his sword to the side as the faint thud of Borros's head was heard, mixed with the metallic clanking of his helm. His headless body dropped to the ground as blood poured out, mixing with the blood on the street.

Aerion let out a sigh, "One down." He said,

"Three to go."
