Four days Ago
Xianyun walked into her apartment. After having that accident just hours ago, she was sore all throughout her body. She placed her bags and snow gear next to her storage closet. She immediately plopped onto her couch. With her face planted down, she sighed.
Thank god I didn't live far from the mountains, she thought. Despite living in Linkon city, she wasn't far from the mountains at all. Only about an hour and a half from where she lived.
Ding. Xianyun grabbed her phone from her pocket, lazily holding it up to view the notification.
"Hm?" Xianyun sat up, surprised.
It was Zayne. Zayne, her primary doctor and childhood friend. Not to mention…she might have a small crush on him. Might. Had. She read his text message.
Hi. I sense you might be injured.
She was shocked. It only had been a few hours, yet he was already checking on her. Yet, as shocking as his message was to Xianyun, she wasn't completely surprised. Throughout her life, he always had some type of supernatural power that allowed him to sense whenever she was hurt. Xianyun sighed with a small smile attached to her lips.
I'm okay, sort of. I just had a skiing accident.
Zayne replied in less than a minute.
I'm coming to see you. Now.
Xianyun sensed her eyes widened by his response. He's on his way? Here?! She thought. She hopped up from the couch and raced into her bathroom to take a quick shower. Upon removing her clothes, she noticed the large and minor bruises spreading across her chest and torso beginning to turn purple.
"Ouch, no wonder I'm in pain." Xianyun sighed.
After a quick shower, she decided to wear some loose-lounging grey pants and a long-sleeve white shirt. She placed her bags and snow gear in her storage closet before a knock at her door caught her attention.
After finger-brushing her hair, she opens the door. There he was…Zayne. Xianyun took in his appearance. He wore a black overcoat with black dress plants complimenting his dim dark shoes. He didn't look cold.
"May I come in?" Zayne said in a soft tone.
Xianyun smiled before stepping to the side behind the door frame. "Ofcourse."
Zayne gave a small nod before entering Xianyun's apartment. Xianyun offered to take his coat, he accepted the offer. He goes to look around the apartment, taking in the atmosphere. Xianyun stood behind him, nervously fidgeting while also taking in her home.
"Your home…" He paused.
"What about it?"
"It's cozy." He said.
Xianyun felt her face turning a bit red. Goodness, this man was perfect.
After looking another moment, Zayne sat on a chair facing the couch Xianyun sat on. Its big and comfy frame made Zayne look like he was getting swallowed alive. Xianyun chuckled.
"So, how have you-"
"Why did you go snowboarding?" Zayne said in a cold voice.
Xianyun paused while a dumbfounded expression took hold of her face.
"Huh?"
