Kenneth dropped his cutlery gently on the table.
"What?!" Kenneth exclaimed in both shock and confusion.
But Cyril didn't pay attention as he continued with his meal.
Bobby whispered something in Cyril's ear.
"Oh. The secretary's daughter?" Cyril asked sarcastically, not surprised that he found out who Kenneth was referring to.
Kenneth laughed so hard at his nephew's nonchalant expression.
"You two are getting along, right?" Kenneth asked again as he continued with his meal.
"What for?" Cyril asked, still munching on his meal.
"She's your bride!!! For goodness's sake, Son!" Kenneth interjected.
Cyril laughed briefly but didn't utter a word, which gave Kenneth, Bobby, Solomon a sign that whatever Kenneth meant by what he said was a joke and wasn't even relevant to waste his energy in replying.
"You ain't gonna say nothing?!"
"Dad. Please can we stop bringing up irrelevant and unnecessary topics during dinner?" Cyril said quietly out of frustration.
"Topic?! Marriage?! Unnecessary?! Hold on a sec. Do you really want to die a bachelor?" Kenneth asked Cyril in shock.
"It's not that bad," Cyril said as he sipped his wine gently and slowly, unbothered by Kenneth's arguments.
"Do you actually know that you are the President?! And you are still single?! Anyway, I'm not surprised. I expected those replies," Kenneth said.
"It's over six years now, you have been nagging about these stuffs..." Cyril began as he stood up gently and a male kitchen dealer wiped his clothes gently, "And it's not working, you should probably give up now, Dad," Cyril said and walked out.
Bobby covered his mouth, trying so hard to control himself from laughing as he followed Cyril.
"The fuck, I will," Kenneth murmured as he turned back to his food.

The council organized a meeting without Cyril's consent.
David began; "It has come to the notice of the council that the thief who was caught at the market has been categorized into a bell, which is definitely not supposed to be so.
"Let's just say, we all knew it but refused to speak up, but about my recent observation, it seems the President is not willing to do anything about it, probably because he has forgotten most of the things he is supposed to do because of his tight schedule.
"That is why it is our duty as the council to always remind him about what to do, most especially crucial matters like that."
All the council members stared at each other as they nodded their heads, but one female member spoke up:
"The President is the first in history to personally change the constitution immediately when he gets into his seat. He also personally increased the punishment in law made for theft, and it is tagged in the whole country that, theft was what the President hated the most in his life. We all know that. The whole country knows that he could kill anyone who was caught red-handed on the spot. With all these mentioned, do you all really think that the President actually forgot to jail her, or he is even waiting to give her a brutal punishment worse than jail?"
The council members looked at each other again and nodded in agreement to what the member said.
David looked round the hall, his heart aching in anger as the council members were whispering among themselves, agreeing to what the female council member had said.
Don nodded in agreement as he concluded the meeting; "I think we should all let the President carry out any punishment of his choice. He changed the law and constitution regarding theft, so everything is left in his hands," Don said as he stood up and all the council members stood up and bowed.

Lisa sat on the top bunk reading a heap of comics, Sarah sat on the other top bunk putting a facial mask on her face while staring at a small mirror which she held in her hand.
James sat underneath Lisa's bed meditating, which was the lower bunk, while Maryann, who was trying to sleep but couldn't, underneath Sarah's bunk bed, turned abruptly on the bed.
Maryann couldn't sleep, she started sweating profusely, but nobody seemed to notice her movement because they were all focused on one thing or the other.
Maryann's stomach made a loud growl as she continued to turn on the bed.
The other three heard the loud sound which distracted them from what they were doing as they all looked in her direction.
Maryann sat up on her bunk bed as she held her stomach, her face having an expression of sadness and pain.
They all came down to meet her with concern on their faces.
"Are you okay, Mary?" Lisa and Sarah asked in unison.
Maryann shook her head.
"What's wrong?" James asked.
"I'm hungry!" Maryann said calmly.
Sarah stood up immediately as she walked to one corner of the room where the coffee machine was kept on the counter.
"Miss Caroline said, each room would be given four tins of cookies, one tin for each person, that would last each person for a week," Lisa said to Sarah, who stood by their small kitchen counter.
"How would one tin of biscuit last a worker for one week? What if it is not meal time yet and one of us is hungry, just like Mary is right now, I bet it won't last two days?" James asked.
"I saw when the stewards were taking the cookies to the kitchen from the van, the tin is very big, even a glutton wouldn't finish a tin of that particular cookie in two weeks because of how heavy the cookies are and how big the tin is," Lisa explained.
"Then where are the cookies?" Sarah asked as she searched every nook and cranny.
"They should be delivered to us by now, it's already past midnight" Lisa said.
Meanwhile, throughout the whole conversation, Maryann had been quiet, which had never happened before.
"I can't find them" Sarah said.
Lisa came down immediately from her bunk bed and joined Sarah in the small kitchen.
"How would you find something when you got that sheet mask on?" Lisa said as she started looking.
"They are skincare face masks!!! What do you know? Trust me, it covers my face, not my eyes," Sarah defended.
"Where are the cookies?"
"I ate them!" Maryann said quietly.
