I was traveling alone this time, so the best way to get around would be to use my mount, the black eagle.
Since no one was around to see it, I felt comfortable summoning it. I didn't want people discovering too many of my secrets.
The nobleman's mansion was quite far away, and even with my eagle, it would still take me about two to three days to get there.
Before leaving, I obtained a more detailed map of the region, allowing me to pinpoint the locations of taverns if I needed to stop for food or rest.
My only concern was that I didn't have much money, but I believed it would be enough to reach the nobleman's mansion. And even if I ran short, I was confident I would find a way.
I left the city through the main gate. None of the guards questioned my reason for leaving or anything of that sort. Perhaps they didn't question anyone, or maybe word of my identity had already spread throughout the city.
