When I woke up, the mount was there with me. It was a small, light brown horn. I held it tight, remembering the beautiful eagle from my dream.
"This is life-changing," I thought to myself.
I was the first to wake up between Julie and me, but the farmers were already up and about, tending to their farm and animals. Through the window, I watched them working diligently, even though the sun had barely risen. Their dedication and focus were impressive.
Julie slept soundly—she was exhausted after using so much magic—so I didn't disturb her. I knew we had to travel quickly to reach our destination on time, but pushing her too hard wouldn't be wise. Besides, now that we had a mount, our chances of reaching the village in time were significantly improved.
When she finally woke up, we shared a meal with the family, chatted for a bit, and then prepared to leave. I was deeply grateful for their hospitality.
