I had no idea where the elven kingdom was, but apparently Jennifer knew, and she was the one who guided me.
"Why are you running away too?" I asked.
I wanted to understand what was going through her mind when she decided to run away with me and understand the reason behind her escape. What if she was a murderer? That would be a shock to me.
Fortunately, Jennifer seemed like a good person. "I got involved with some wrong people looking for money and ended up screwing myself. Either I run away, or I'll end up dying."
That was enough for me. She had helped me when I needed it, so why not give her a chance to show that I could trust her?
"And is this continent of the elves far away? Better yet, can we get in there, or do they hate humans?" I asked her.
I really didn't know anything about elves. I wanted to understand more.
