Synopsis
Mirabela Marseille Moreno is the only daughter of the Senate President. She was raised to excel in everything she did, groomed to be an elegant young lady, and expected to be perfect in the public's eyes. But just like every firstborn in the family, she has to carry more pressure than her siblings, forcing her to keep her emotions hidden. However, when she accidentally stole something from Ignacio Samael Vizzini, the intimidating owner of Vizzini Airlines, who wanted her to pay in exchange for what he had lost, she knew that a huge flame would eventually swallow her alive. And just like his second name suggests, he'll surely be the devil who'll tempt her into biting the sacred forbidden fruit.

TW: Disturbing scenes/iformations

***

After wandering around barefoot throughout this burning building for god knows how long, my entire body started feeling numb. Debris of shattered glass, sharp stones, and broken pieces of metal were all over the floor, but I stepped right through it all. With every step, the pain seemed to get farther beneath the skin, but I kept going because I had something I desparately needed to find.

My body was growing weak.

I was losing hope of finding it. Fortunately, after a few moments, I finally found what I had been searching for.

Hastily, I approached a corner where one of the glass windows had fallen. As I got closer, my delight increased upon seeing the familiar jewelry. I lifted the mirror to reach it, struggling due to its weight. Nevertheless, I was thrilled to grasp the golden necklace I had been looking for. It had a crescent moon shape that sparkled when touched by light. I held it tightly, determined not to let it slip away again.

With a smile, I continued walking to exit because the building was obviously going to collapse at any moment. I needed to hurry.

My dress was torn and charred in some parts from the fire, and my entire body was in pain. Despite the discomfort, I couldn't stop; I pressed on with each painful step. I was practically dragging my left foot due to the injuries I got while escaping earlier.

I strained to make out the path amidst the surrounding flames when unexpectedly, some pillars of the building collapsed, causing me to lose balance and be trapped under a large portion of concrete.

I couldn't move. I didn't know what to do.

I tried to open my mouth to cry for help, but it seemed like no sound was coming out.

Fear overwhelmed me, and I couldn't hold back tears as I felt the approaching flames on my skin. There was nothing I could do given the weakness of my body.

I closed my eyes slowly.

Before losing consciousness, I heard a faint but familiar voice. He was looking for me, repeatedly calling my name. Yet, I was helpless that even my lips could hardly open to utter a single word.

Nevertheless, I smiled. It doesn't matter anymore. What mattered most is that he's already here, that after everything, he still cares for me. With a last exhale, I closed my eyes.
