Beckham…
Everything I heard and knew changed at the mention of that name, it filled my soul with resentment. I had never had a direct encounter with a Beckham, but my father did, once in his life, and they left a scar on him for the rest of his life; he was traumatized till the day he died.
The Beckhams were troublesome people, awfully wealthy and rogues. They were the underdogs in society; there names were not popular, but for every cash spent, every building, election, and crime, it went through them. They sponsored wars, and they watched the world burn. Infamous but dangerous.
I hated them because, as a boy, I watched my dad kneel to one of them. My father was the most courageous man to have walked the surface of the earth, the smartest man in a room. I wanted to be like him, I followed him everywhere he went, and I admired him. Fear was nonexistent in his world until that very day.
