Damian's POV
Turns out the spot Tristan wanted me to pay him a visit at was at a saloon. I was not going to get myself dragged into the den of ladies, and secondly, it was way far off my usual range. It took me an hour's worth of driving and pausing to get my mind straight before I got here.
Henry was still in my arms, urging me to drop him down, which I did. He ran over to Tristan, who finally picked him up, a sigh of exhaustion escaped my lips. I needed a nanny for him, I would be taking my place in the company next week. I could not afford to keep a close eye on him knowing I had so much to do.
Sammy was in distress, and so was everyone, and as my therapist said earlier, I would rather leave a dysfunctional relationship than perish in it, so instead of hating the idea of letting someone else take care of my son, I hire a nanny, and I find a way to get closer to him from time to time.
