Orion stepped into Elian's chambers, his heart slightly racing as he saw him standing by the window, absentmindedly rubbing his baby bump. For the first time since he arrived at the palace, Elian was alone.
The usual company of the crown prince, or Aria and Niko, was absent. And the sight of Elian standing there, seemingly lost in his thoughts, made Orion pause for a moment.
When Elian turned and saw him, a soft smile spread across his face. "Big brother," he said warmly, his voice carrying a hint of relief that was mirrored in his eyes.
Orion felt a wave of relief wash over him. He didn't mention the fact it was the first time Elian was calling him that, he was just glad Elian seems like he won't fault him for what his mother did. He nodded slightly and walked over to sit beside Elian.
They sat close together, the silence between them ccomfortable but tense at the same time.
