The door to Elian's chambers had barely closed behind them when Izan shot a sly glance at Dillion. "I think Niko has a thing for you," he remarked casually, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as they walked down the dimly lit corridor.
Dillion, never one to mince words, responded without missing a beat. "I have a thing for him too." The blunt admission stopped Izan in his tracks. He turned to look at his trusted friend, eyebrows raised in surprise.
"You do?" Izan asked, caught off guard.
Dillion nodded, his expression as cool as ever. "Yes, but I'll pursue him once we've dealt with your evil stepmother's mess," he said, his voice carrying an edge of disdain at the mention of the empress.
Izan chuckled at the bluntness of Dillion's statement. "Don't keep the poor boy waiting too long. He might think he doesn't have a chance." They resumed walking, their steps echoing softly down the corridor.
