A poem I wrote: August ???? 2004.
(Still 15 years old.)
I would assume that this poem was inspired by the girl who so captivated me back then lol.
She is in a new and flourishing relationship these days.
Not with me of course lol
How could that have EVER been a possibility lmao.
I was quite the hopeful kid you know?
Enjoy.

In this girl I've found a key,
That opens up something in me.
A silver cage deep down inside,
Where all my emotions retreat and hide.
They huddle back behind its door,
Where no ordinary girl can go explore.
But somehow she's produced a key,
That opens the door and set them free.
And now she has majestically slain
The sadness, anger, depression and pain.
No longer locked away inside,
This love deployed shall never hide.
And something else I've found as true.
That unnamed girl I now see is you.

Yeah, this one wasn't all that bad!
It sounds appropriately 15 years old lmao.
I was really head over heels for that girl, she was one of the first people I met at the new school that I had started going to as a kid, so I think she kinda imprinted on me so to speak. I chased her attention up until my early 20's lbvs.
Don't do that folks.
Don't let yourself fall into a love that is one-sided.
It hurts.
And it also tends to be our own fault for letting it get that far, you know?
See you soon folks.
