Chapter 7 - Success!

"Hey, kiddo," his father called out, leaning back with his arms behind his head. "How about some training? You've been out of commission for a while. Might be time to catch up on everything you've missed."

Ishi looked up, startled by the suggestion, but before he could respond, his mother's voice cut through the air.

"Are you serious right now?" she scolded, marching over and giving her husband a light smack on the top of his head. "He just woke up after being seriously sick! Don't you think it's a bit too soon for that?"

Her tone was stern, but the playful glint in her eye gave away her true feelings. Ishi's father rubbed his head, grinning sheepishly.

"Just thought I'd ask," he muttered.

To their surprise, Ishi nodded. "I'll do it," he said, his voice calm and composed. "But give me a few minutes first."

Both parents stared at him, momentarily stunned by his unexpected answer. His mother recovered first, blinking a few times before she spoke. "You're serious?" she asked, her voice softer now, almost hesitant.

Ishi nodded again. "I am."

His father's grin widened. "Alright then! I'll give you twenty minutes. Meet me outside when you're ready," he said, clearly pleased. He stood up, ruffling Ishi's hair before heading toward the door. His mother gave Ishi one last concerned look before following her husband out.

Once they were gone, Ishi took a deep breath.

He made his way to the door, stepping outside into the morning air. The cottage was surrounded by a thick forest, on a cliff near the outskirts of the city. It was quiet, peaceful, the perfect place to test his abilities without attracting too much attention.

Ishi walked a bit further away from the cottage, ensuring he was out of sight. He could still sense the presence of his parents in the distance, but they were far enough not to notice what he was about to do.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He could feel it, a vast, boundless force waiting to be released. But he knew he had to be careful, and he could obliterate everything, even his human body.

Ishi raised his hand, forming a "finger gun" as he aimed at the first tree. He focused, narrowing his intent, and allowed an infinitesimally small fraction, no more than one 8-septillionth of one-quadrillionth of his power to seep out, channeling it through his finger. (0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000008%)

There was no visible projectile, no sound, nothing. The first tree was vaporised instantly, reduced to nothing as if it had never been there, not even the roots of the tree remained, just a small sized crater where the tree once was. The energy continued forward vaporizing three more trees in perfect succession, each one disappearing in an instant.

Ishi lowered his hand, a small smile tugging at his lips. Success!
