After a year of rigorous training, Aldric was no longer the same person he had been. His powers had reached heights even he hadn't anticipated. With a vast array of abilities and the knowledge of countless battles, Aldric had become an unstoppable force. Now, it was time for the next step in his journey—entering the military under the guise of a new identity: Lucifer.
The decision wasn't just about testing his strength. Aldric wanted to immerse himself in the tactics, strategies, and politics of warfare. He needed to see the world from the perspective of those who lived by the sword, shield, and magic. Most importantly, he wanted to gather more information, gain a deeper understanding of the world's power structures, and expand his influence from within.
Requesting Entry into the Military
After a full year of preparation, Aldric went to his mother, Lilith, and father, Calthor, with his request.
"I am ready to take the next step in my journey," Aldric said, his voice calm but resolute. "I wish to enroll in the military, but under a new name—Lucifer. I will keep my identity hidden and experience the reality of combat without revealing my full power."
Lilith smiled approvingly, her red eyes gleaming with a mixture of pride and amusement. "You've grown into a formidable warrior, my son. The world is not ready for what you've become. The name 'Lucifer' will soon strike fear into the hearts of many, but be cautious. Do not show them everything just yet."
Calthor, his dragon presence towering even in the serene atmosphere of the palace, nodded in agreement. "The battlefield will teach you things that no amount of training can. Use this time wisely. Infiltrate their ranks, learn their ways, and grow your shadow army. But above all, remember that you are the heir to both dragon and demon. When the time comes, they will kneel."
With their blessing, Aldric began the process of creating his new identity. Using his Camouflage skill, which allowed him to suppress his presence and change his appearance, Aldric transformed into Lucifer. His new form had jet-black hair, eyes as cold as the void, and a menacing aura that felt like death itself.
Through his connections, Aldric secured a spot in the elite Black Legion—a prestigious military unit known for their ruthlessness and skill in combat. The Black Legion only accepted the best, and the selection process was brutal. For Aldric, it was a perfect cover.
A Full Year of Power: New Sign-In Rewards
As Aldric—now Lucifer—prepared to join the military, his Sign-In System continued to grant him immense power. Over the course of the year, he had received abilities that fortified his already unparalleled strength. Each new ability was a piece of the puzzle, bringing him closer to his goal of becoming the most powerful being in this world.
The Year's Sign-In Rewards:
Poison Resistance / Poison Nullification
Aldric's body had become immune to all forms of toxins, venoms, and poisons. Even the deadliest of magical poisons could no longer affect him, allowing him to fight in environments that would kill normal beings.
Lightning Resistance / Lightning Nullification
The power of lightning, which had once nearly killed him, was now nothing more than a harmless spark. Aldric could absorb and nullify electrical energy, rendering lightning-based attacks useless.
Surprise Attack Nullification
No attack from the shadows could harm him. Aldric's new ability ensured that any strike he didn't see coming would deal no damage, leaving his enemies frustrated and powerless.
Heat Resistance / Heat Nullification
Even the most intense flames and molten lava would not harm him. His body adapted to endure and nullify heat to an unimaginable degree.
Cold Resistance / Cold Nullification
Aldric could now walk through the coldest regions of the world without feeling even a chill. Ice magic, blizzards, and sub-zero temperatures were ineffective against him.
Thermal Resistance / Thermal Nullification
His body could now handle extreme temperature shifts, going from freezing to boiling heat without suffering any ill effects.
Radiation Resistance / Radiation Nullification
Aldric became immune to radiation in all forms, whether natural or magical, allowing him to survive in the harshest and most dangerous environments.
Paralysis Resistance / Paralysis Nullification
Paralysis spells, traps, and even magical poisons designed to freeze his muscles were no longer a threat. He could not be held down or restrained.
Mind Control Resistance / Mind Control Nullification
No one could control Aldric's mind. His will was too strong, bolstered by his Conqueror's Haki and this newfound resistance. Mind control spells and psychic attacks were rendered completely ineffective.
Energy Absorption / Life Absorption
Aldric could now absorb magical energy and even life force from his enemies, replenishing his own strength in the heat of battle. Each strike he landed would feed his power.
Energy Transmutation
Aldric gained the ability to convert one form of energy into another. He could turn magical attacks into healing energy, or convert offensive spells into defensive shields.
Upgrade to the Great Divine Eyes
His eyes, already powerful, had become even more formidable. Aldric could now see aura, life force, ghosts, and had 360-degree vision. His accuracy and marksmanship improved dramatically, and he could even foresee the moment of someone's death.
Invulnerability
Aldric could now activate a state of invulnerability for 10 seconds, during which no attack, physical or magical, could harm him. This ability had a cooldown of one minute.
Invisibility
Aldric could become invisible for 10 seconds, allowing him to strike unseen or evade attacks. Like invulnerability, this ability had a one-minute cooldown.
Camouflage
This skill allowed Aldric to completely suppress his presence, making him undetectable even by the most skilled mages and warriors.
Infinite Regeneration
No matter how grievous the wound, Aldric's body would heal instantly. He had become virtually unkillable, capable of recovering from the most devastating injuries within moments.
Gomu Gomu No Mi / Op Op No Mi
Aldric had consumed not one, but two Devil Fruits—the Gomu Gomu No Mi, which turned his body into rubber, and the Op Op No Mi, which allowed him to control everything within a certain area, including the positions of people and objects. Normally, consuming two Devil Fruits would be fatal, but his Infinite Regeneration prevented his death, making him an anomaly.
Projectile Resistance / Projectile Nullification
Arrows, bullets, and any projectile thrown at Aldric would be absorbed or deflected. He could walk through a hail of arrows and emerge without a scratch.
Blast Resistance / Blast Nullification
Explosions, no matter how powerful, no longer posed a threat to Aldric. He could stand at the center of a blast and feel nothing.
Physical and Magic Damage Resistances / Nullifications
Physical and magical attacks alike were now significantly reduced in effectiveness, and certain spells or physical blows could be nullified entirely.
Haki Mastery
Aldric's mastery of Haki—the manifestation of one's willpower—had become unparalleled. His Armament Haki made his skin as tough as steel, his Observation Haki allowed him to predict attacks before they happened, and his Conqueror's Haki could knock out hundreds of weaker enemies with a mere glance.
Three Sword Style
Aldric had mastered the Three Sword Style, a unique form of swordsmanship that involved wielding three blades at once: one in each hand, and the third gripped between his teeth. The style granted him incredible offensive and defensive capabilities, and when combined with his other powers, made him nearly invincible in combat.
The Dungeon of Ashborn: Fighting Igris and More
During his year of training, Aldric had entered the Dungeon of Ashborn, created by his system to test and reward him with the powers of the First Shadow Monarch. The most formidable of these tests was the battle against Igris, the shadow knight who had once served Ashborn.
The fight had been brutal. Igris was a master swordsman, his every strike filled with lethal precision. But Aldric, armed with Haki, Three Sword Style, and the powers of the Op Op No Mi, had ultimately overpowered the legendary knight. After defeating him, Aldric used Shadow Extraction, pulling Igris's form into his shadow army.
With each victory in the dungeon, Aldric grew stronger, his connection to Ashborn's legacy becoming more pronounced. Every enemy he defeated added to his shadow army, and by the end of the year, his army was filled with powerful beings—each one a loyal servant who would obey his every command.
Entering the Military as Lucifer
Aldric—now going by the name Lucifer—stood at the gates of the Black Legion's military base. His black armor gleamed in the sunlight, and the aura of darkness that surrounded him made those nearby nervous. His application had been accepted, and now, he was ready to prove himself in battle. No one knew his true identity, and that's how he wanted it.
The military would soon come to know the name Lucifer, but they would never know just how powerful he truly was. For Aldric, this was merely another step on the path to ultimate power.
As the gates opened and he stepped into the barracks, he smiled to himself. His year of training had turned him into something more than human, more than dragon, more than demon.
And now, the world would learn what it meant to face Lucifer, the shadow monarch in disguise.
