Years had passed since Alex first set foot on Hainan Island. The construction of his home base, mining facilities, and oil extraction points had taken a painstaking ten years, a period marked by relentless work and meticulous planning. The resources were abundant—rare earth metals and various minerals that had fueled his vision of progress. But the true breakthrough came with the integration of modern knowledge into his endeavors.
It had taken an additional fifteen years to develop a functioning computer system. Alex, having assimilated all the modern knowledge he could remember, managed to leap over decades of hard work required to create such technology. However, the technology he had developed was still stuck in the Windows XP era. His machinery and hardware were advancing, but he had yet to achieve the sleek, compact designs of the Windows 11 era. "It's functional," he mused as he looked at the aging monitor and bulky hardware. "Not exactly cutting-edge, but it will do for now."
Building the computer was no small feat. Alex faced numerous challenges along the way. he had to gather the necessary components for a computer from scratch was difficult. He had to develop his own semiconductors and integrate them into a cohesive system. The machinery for precision manufacturing was underdeveloped. Designing and fabricating precise components proved to be time-consuming and labor-intensive. Even with ships, he still has to go back and forth. and the worst of all, even with his knowledge, adapting the software to run on the hardware he had created presented significant hurdles.
"Why is it so difficult?" Alex lamented to himself as he worked on his latest prototype. "I have the knowledge, I have the materials, but I don't have the manpower. Everything takes so much longer than it should."
As he looked back on his journey, Alex reflected on the immense progress he had made. It had been twenty-five years since he first began building his base and facilities. From his humble beginnings in a cave to this advanced technological hub, he marveled at how far he had come. He had no signs of aging, a constant reminder that he was still the same person who had arrived in this world. "I should be nearing retirement age," he thought with a rueful smile. "But here I am, still working my ass off day in and day out."
He had taken to inspecting his body periodically, hoping to find any physiological changes that might explain his unchanging appearance. There were none. He remained the same as he had been on his first day in this world.
After a decade of relentless work, Alex stood before the encased memento, a vacuum-sealed glass case containing his old clothes from the world he once knew. The clothes, now preserved with care, were a stark reminder of his past life, contrasting sharply with the cutting-edge technology around him.
He ran his fingers along the glass, feeling the cool surface. The clothes were a window to another time, a time when his biggest worry was what to wear for a job interview. "Man, those were the days," he thought. "I was all set to become a teacher, or maybe a university professor. I was ready to change the world, or at least a few students' lives."
As he looked at the garments, memories flooded back. He recalled the excitement and nervousness of graduation and the plans he had made for a future in education. "I was supposed to shape minds, inspire students," he mused. "And then, bam! I'm thrown into this crazy, humanless world. Talk about a plot twist."
He chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Who knew that this is where I'd end up? Sometimes I wonder if it's all some kind of crazy dream. But I can't deny the progress I've made. The farming, mining, hunting, and all the stuff that I shouldn't be doing in my old world."
As he reminisced about his past, he thought about the things he had prepared and made for this day. With the abundance of materials and resources, Alex had developed the first satellite for world imagery. Named the "Hope" satellite, it was designed to capture and transmit images of the Earth. The satellite was his attempt to peer into the world beyond his immediate surroundings. "Perhaps there's something out there," he thought with hopeful anticipation, "maybe even some signs of life or human activity."
The launch of the Hope satellite was a momentous event. Alex stood by the rocket as it prepared for takeoff, his heart pounding with excitement and anxiety. "If there's any chance of seeing people, or at least understanding more about this world, this satellite might give me that answer."
As the rocket ascended into the sky, Alex watched with bated breath. The satellite would now orbit the Earth, capturing images and sending them back to his home base. He hoped that it might provide answers or, at the very least, a glimpse into the world he was so deeply curious about.
Despite the technological advancements and the progress he had made, Alex felt a lingering frustration. The lack of manpower was a constant obstacle. "I can't explore the whole world on my own," he said to himself as he reviewed the satellite's launch data. "I need more help, more hands to make this work efficiently."
Determined to find a solution, Alex began exploring the possibility of developing machines and robots to handle the tedious work. He envisioned a future where automated systems could alleviate some of the burdens and allow him to focus on more critical tasks. "Maybe machines can fill the gap," he mused. "It's not a perfect solution, but it's a start."
As he continued his work, Alex remained hopeful. Despite the challenges, the absence of people, and the endless tasks that lay before him, he was driven by the knowledge that his efforts might one day lead to significant discoveries. "There's still so much to uncover," he said, looking out at the horizon from his base on Hainan Island. "And I won't stop until I find the answers I'm searching for."
With his newfound technology and the Hope satellite providing a window into the world, Alex was ready to tackle the next chapter of his journey. He knew that the road ahead would be challenging, but he was determined to press on, fueled by curiosity and the hope of discovering the mysteries that lay beyond his reach.

Author's note: To be honest, this novel is a fanfic. It is just that I want you guys to see him get out of that world without magic portals or chikaboo magic. It might take a while for him to get out of that world. Honestly, what would you do if you were stuck in a world with only you without magic and powers?
Also, I want stones and reviews.
