Sebastian and Eliana walked outside, making their way towards the carriage.
The sound of Lito's steps echoed throughout the expansive front entrance of the mansion, creating an eerie and hollow effect. As he walked outside, the surrounding area seemed to come alive with his presence.
Sebastian turned his head backwards, his attention drawn away from whatever occupied him outside the mansion. "What is it, Lito?" he asked with a hint of impatience in his voice.
"The monsters are getting closer," Lito reported, his tone serious. "It seems that Isolda can't handle them all alone."
A cold smile spread across Sebastian's face at the mention of a beast that had even managed to overpower one of his commanders. "Interesting," he mused. "I didn't expect such a feat."
Meanwhile, Eliana stood nearby, waiting for Sebastian. She noticed the change in his demeanor as he conversed with Lito and couldn't help but ask, "Is everything alright?"
Sebastian's cold smile faded into a kinder one as he looked at her. "Just a small problem," he reassured her, not wanting to scare her with talk of monsters.
- One hour before this encounter. -
Isolde stood in the middle of the battlefield, surrounded by chaos and carnage. The stench of blood filled her nostrils as she fought off wave after wave of monstrous creatures. Despite her exhaustion, she knew there were still more to come.
"These pests are getting on my nerves," she grumbled to herself, frustrated that she couldn't use her full power without her master's command.
A soldier ran up to her, his face etched with fear. "My lady, what should we do? We're losing ground."
Isolde scanned the battlefield for any sign of hope or a strategy to defeat their seemingly endless enemies. But the situation looked dire, and fear gripped her heart. How could they possibly win against such overwhelming odds?
"I have no choice," she said firmly, gripping her sword tightly. With lightning-fast movements, she slashed through the enemy ranks, protecting her soldiers from harm. She teleported around the battlefield, swiftly taking out any monsters that came too close to her people.
"Everyone behind me!" she shouted to her troops as they rushed towards her for protection. As they huddled behind her, a massive monster appeared and growled menacingly. Its weapon glinted in the sunlight as it prepared to strike one of Isolde's soldiers.
But before it could land a blow, Isolde flashed forward and parried its attack. With lightning speed, she grabbed the soldier and transported them both back to safety.
"Thank you, my lady," the soldier said gratefully as he bowed his head and wept with relief.
"There's no time for this," Isolde said sternly, but with a small smile on her face. "Stay here; I'll take care of the rest."
She stepped forward confidently, ready to continue leading her troops towards victory.
"Orc lord," she said, pausing for a moment. "This could pose a problem for me in my current condition." She took a deep breath, preparing herself for the upcoming battle.
Isolde, a powerful warrior and commander, stood tall amidst the chaos of battle. The air was thick with the sounds of clashing steel, angry roars, and cries for help. The ground shook beneath her feet as the hulking Orc Lord stomped towards her, its massive claymore raised high above its head. She could taste the metallic tang in the air and feel the cold gusts of wind kicked up by the monstrous beast's movement. Despite the overwhelming odds, her resolve remained unshaken. The roar of the Orc Lord sent vibrations through her body, but she stood her ground.
With each step, Isolde flexed her powerful legs, ready to dodge or counterattack at a moment's notice. The Orc Lord swung its claymore down, the earth trembling as it cleaved through the ground with terrifying force. She sidestepped, letting the blade whizz past her head by mere inches. Her green eyes narrowed in concentration as she weaved between the beast's heavy blows, her sword flashing like a blur of silver light. Each strike from her blade would find its mark, leaving gashes and bruises on the monster's thick hide.
The Orc Lord roared again, its hot breath washing over Isolde's face. She could smell its foul stench, the stench of a creature driven by pure instinct. She pushed past her own fear and anger, fueled by decades of training and unrequited love for her king, Sebastian. With a powerful swing, she tried to disarm the Orc Lord, but the monster was quick to counter with a vicious backhanded strike that sent her flying through the air. The ground rushed up to meet her, and just before impact, she teleported back to safety.
The force of the blow left Isolde momentarily dazed. Her head spun, and she tasted blood in her mouth. But she quickly regained her composure, her sharp features set in a determined grimace. "Fight back!" she shouted at her troops, rallying them toward her. They charged, their swords and shields raised high, but they were no match for the Orc Lord's brute strength. Isolde cast a spell that shielded them from harm just as the Orc Lord's claymore came crashing down, but it shattered the spell with a single blow.
The Orc Lord continued its assault, pushing Isolde and her troops further back. She was losing ground, and she knew it. She could hear the sound of panic creeping into the ranks, feel the fear resonating through their bodies. With a desperate move, she teleported herself directly in front of the Orc Lord, drawing its attention away from her troops. The monster roared and swung its claymore again.
- Present time. -
Sebastian muttered to himself, "Orc lord..." before turning to Lito. "Send a message, she's only allowed to use 10% of her power. We can't risk her destroying this entire place." He then walked over to Eliana who was waiting for him.
"As you wish, my lord," Lito replied with a bow of his head.
"Let's go," Sebastian said as he opened the carriage door and helped Eliana inside. Once they were settled in, the carriage set off on its journey towards Willowbrook.
