Guests are to be treated with respect, and at least in that regard, Du Sanjiang was correct. Du Dewei, feeling helpless about his uncle's behavior, could only lead Ning Fan around the estate to pass the time.
"God Doctor Ning, I'm so sorry. My uncle must have been deceived by that Taoist!"
Du Dewei looked at Ning Fan, quite embarrassed. He desperately wanted to introduce Ning Fan to Du Sanjiang, but because of Du Sanjiang's strong endorsement of the Taoist, that wish went unfulfilled.
Ning Fan shook his head, seemingly indifferent.
"God Doctor Ning, why don't you rest for tonight?"
Seeing that Ning Fan was not speaking, Du Dewei was relieved by his indifferent demeanor. Compared to Du Sanjiang, Du Dewei didn't want to neglect Ning Fan and certainly didn't want to offend him over this matter.
