Chapter 54 Grandpa
The news of his parents had stirred something deep within Karn, igniting a maelstrom of emotions he struggled to contain. Frustration bubbled beneath the surface, threatening to erupt at any moment. An overwhelming desire to increase his power, to grow stronger fast enough to meet his parents, consumed his thoughts.
Suddenly, the dam broke. "Ahhh! Ahhhh!" Karn's anguished cry shattered the silence, his voice raw with anger and pain. "Why? Why?!" he shouted, his fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned white. "I have to become strong... I must!"
As the words left his lips, a terrifying transformation overcame him. Karn's eyes, usually bright and full of determination, became bloodshot, the whites completely overtaken by a web of angry red veins. More disturbing still were the tears that began to flow – not clear droplets, but rivulets of blood that streaked down his cheeks, a physical manifestation of his inner turmoil.
