Jiang Weiwei also started yelling.
"What's with all the yelling in the middle of the night!"
"Shut up!"
Shouts came from the other rooms, all from other residents!
Jiang Weiwei hurried back into her room, closed the door, leaned against it, her mind a mess and her heart pounding.
What in the world had she done?
In an instant, Jiang Weiwei's face turned incredibly red, she reached out to touch it, felt the heat and quickly pulled her hand back.
She had never been seen in such a sorry state by a man before.
But at the same time, as she looked down, she saw that little black bug again, and it was even closer to her now.
"Ah!" Jiang Weiwei screamed again and opened the door.
"Bug!" Jiang Weiwei yelled.
Tang Zhong followed Jiang Weiwei's gaze and saw a little cockroach taking a stroll on the ground.
Tang Zhong understood, a secret smile flitted across his heart.
When Jiang Weiwei saw the cockroach emerge, she immediately hid behind Tang Zhong, pleading, "Hurry...squash it!"
Tang Zhong chuckled.
Since his childhood days as a member of the Wolf's Fang, he hadn't seen a normal woman, the women in the base were all too abnormal, just thinking about them gave him a headache.
In any case, the women Tang Zhong had met before were all bona fide dinosaurs.
He had only been back in Jianghai City for a few hours when he directly encountered such a great beauty!
There certainly were more beauties in Xuan Country.
Playing the hero was something Tang Zhong would generally do.
He stomped his foot down.
Crack.
The little cockroach kicked the bucket just like that.
"It's dead!" Tang Zhong declared.
Jiang Weiwei stared at the cockroach's corpse for a dozen seconds, making sure it really wasn't moving, before she finally took a long breath.
But soon, her embarrassing moment was laid bare before someone else again.
"Ah!" Jiang Weiwei rushed back into her room, closed the door, and leaned against it, feeling incredibly complicated.
She hadn't expected to be caught in an embarrassing situation by the same man twice in a single day.
"I... I...!"
Jiang Weiwei was at a loss for words, but just then, her stomach started hurting incredibly.
It felt like her period had come, and it was more than ten times more painful than usual. She squatted down, gripping her belly; she had this intuition that her period was coming.
But then, she discovered an even bigger problem.
It seemed she didn't have any sanitary pads.
She had brought some this time, but they were in her car, which wasn't with her at the moment.
"No way, can't my luck, Jiang Weiwei, be this bad!"
What was she to do without sanitary pads!
"Ah ah ah!" Jiang Weiwei became frantic.
Her stomach was killing her!
And thinking about this shabby house, she feared the appearance of more cockroaches.
Maybe she should call that guy in, let him handle it if there were cockroaches!
No, no, no, there's propriety between men and women, if others knew I, a girl, was in a room with a strange man, how would I live after that?
But remembering what the cockroach looked like, Jiang Weiwei endured it and decided not to take a shower. She would return home and take one tomorrow.
Tang Zhong was outside, having just wiped off his nosebleed, when he saw Jiang Weiwei appear before him.
"You... come in with me!" Jiang Weiwei said coldly.
"I refuse, unless you beg me!" Tang Zhong shook his head right away.
"You..." Jiang Weiwei pointed at Tang Zhong with her finger, "For this young miss to be in the same room with you is your honor."
"I don't want that, aren't you just afraid of cockroaches... I'll tell you, this room, it's not just cockroaches, there are also rats. They come out at night and crawl into the guests' blankets, and then... huh!" Tang Zhong teased Jiang Weiwei.
Jiang Weiwei listened to Tang Zhong's words and felt a chill run down her spine. The thought of a rat burrowing into the blankets was too much to bear. She couldn't continue thinking about it and so, she stepped forward, grabbing Tang Zhong's arm and pleaded, "Please, come in!"
"That's more like it, let's go!" Tang Zhong said with a smile.
Then he walked straight in.
Jiang Weiwei had never seen such a shameless man before, but now that Tang Zhong had entered, she didn't dare linger in the hallway any longer. Recalling the middle-aged women she'd seen on TV, she hurriedly entered the room!
She closed the door!
What Jiang Weiwei hadn't expected was that Tang Zhong was already lying on the bed.
"You... how could you lie down!" she exclaimed.
"Why can't I lie down?" Tang Zhong asked.
"It's my bed. I meant for you to come in and either stand on the floor or sit in a chair," Jiang Weiwei said.
"Oh, I see. Well, then I might as well leave, since the mouse might crawl into the blankets," Tang Zhong pretended to get up.
At these words, Jiang Weiwei trembled again, "Don't… don't move, stay, please stay."
"Alright then!"
Tang Zhong lay down again and stealthily chuckled to himself.
Jiang Weiwei thought it over for a long time but didn't lie down. She just sat at the side of the bed.
She definitely didn't want to be close to Tang Zhong.
"This is the dividing line, you can't come over," Jiang Weiwei said, drawing a deliberate line down the middle.
"Don't worry," Tang Zhong said. He just wanted to sleep now.
A brief moment of peace.
Tang Zhong had already closed his eyes.
But Jiang Weiwei couldn't sleep at all. She sat there, eyes wide open.
Ahh, this was incredibly frustrating.
She needed to be cautious around strangers, especially men.
Now, Jiang Weiwei kept her eyes wide open without blinking, just in case.
But soon, her abdominal pain intensified.
Jiang Weiwei doubled over with her hands on her stomach. She had never experienced such pain before; it was like being cut with a knife. Before long, her forehead was covered in cold sweat, and her lips turned pale—the dreaded monthly visitor had arrived, and it was unbearable.
Although she had been embarrassed by this before, did it really have to happen in front of a man, and especially a laborer!
"No, absolutely not!"
Just then, Jiang Weiwei heard a voice.
"Do you have a tissue?"
The voice came from beside her.
That would be the man next to her.
What did he want a tissue for? Jiang Weiwei didn't understand, but she had some. Every time she went out, she always carried a small pack of tissues in her bag. Without a doubt, there would be some in her bag.
But what did he need a tissue for, what good would that do, was he planning to go to the bathroom?
"No... I better not say anything," Jiang Weiwei thought to herself.
But suddenly, Tang Zhong sat up and went straight for Jiang Weiwei's bag.
"You... what are you doing?" Jiang Weiwei panicked.
But she soon saw Tang Zhong pull out a small pack of tissues, then take all the tissues out, stacking them together, and start folding something.
Not long after!
"Here, use this!" Tang Zhong said, holding something akin to a plaster in his hand, only made out of folded tissue paper, which looked quite sturdy.
Jiang Weiwei took one look and her face flushed red. How… how did this guy know she needed this?
But she couldn't possibly use it.
Tang Zhong didn't say anything more and placed the folded item behind his back, then went back to sleep.
Jiang Weiwei looked at the makeshift plaster, uncertain of what to do.
Use it.
If she used it, she wouldn't have to be embarrassed.
But with someone there, how could she use it?
