Jason POV:
" can you guys just stop all this" beth said
" And why should we?" Sandra asked
" Sandra, I know you've been looking for the slightest opportunity to slander Belle. but for fuck sake, she's in there fighting for her life. She does not need people criticizing her for now, she needs support and prayers " beth said
" Jason, you need to sign some documents " Belle dad said as he came
" Yeah, I'll be there " I said following him
" And we'll need your friends help too" her dad added. He was still on my mother's case, he totally forgot about his daughter who was in the theatre fighting for her life.
We all left but as we were going her siblings came along
" Hey, don't think too much" Brian said patting my back
" We're always with you" bianca said hugging me

" Thanks guys " I said as I moved on.
After all the formalities, we were to bury my mum's body. And Belle's dad was the one who organize the three days funeral. Her family has been of help to me lately. I didn't still want to believe that I was all alone in this world. I didn't even know the cause of my mum's death. The next day I went to the hospital, and I met with our family doctor
" Your mum had cancer" he said
" What?" I asked shocked
" Yes, cervical cancer" he added
" What?" I asked
" It was caused from an STIs" he said
" Since when?" I asked
" Like three years back now" he said
" But mum hasn't had sex for more than 11 years now" I said
" There's something about your mum that you need to know" he said
" What's that?" I asked
" Your mum have done multiple abortions in the past few years" he said
" It's not possible" I said
" It's expected, being in the entertainment industry is not that easy. She had to do a lot of things just to make your life easy" he said
" But.. why didn't she tell me?" I asked
" She didn't want you to stress yourself about it, she knew she was going to die a long time ago but she managed it till it was her time " he said
" And she knew you'll come here to know the cause of her death, so she asked me to give you this paper " he added handing me an envelope
" What's this?" I asked opening it
" Her ATM card, her pin and everything you need including your father's house address" he said
" Dad is still alive" I said shocked
" She kept the truth away from you for your own good. She had to take you away unless she'll be separated from you as your dad won your custody. And also she had to be powerful enough to do whatever she did so she made a deal with Mr Smith to be his partner after he rejected her offer of marriage." He said
" That's Belle's father " I said
" Yeah, both of them were on love with each other from their childhood but your mom decided to marry another man so he also got married. And one more thing, your father isn't your mum first husband " he said
" But how do you know this much " I asked
" Mr Smith, your mum and I were friends since middle school " he said and someone knocked on the door
" Doctor, you have a patient" the nurse said and he left.
I went to the room were Belle was, she had been in coma and I hadn't have time to see her.
I sat down beside her as I stared at her, as she laid there on the bed. I looked at her and started recalling all our past memories. Why do I have to suffer this way, first I lost my mother and now I have to see you in this condition. Why do things have to go so bitter. I even had to find out about my mother's truth. Why is all these happening.
" Belle," I called her as I held her hand
" Stay alive for me please, and I'll stay strong for you as well. I can't handle everything that is happening right now, it's just too much for me. You said you'll be there by my side, you said it was your position so what now? Why aren't you here now?" I said as a drop of tear fell from my eyes
" I've been trying my best to stay strong but I can't do that anymore, I'm tired Belle. I just need your comfort and your support right now " I said as I broke down finally. I couldn't fight back the tears anymore, I was weak and I couldn't hide it anymore.
The door opened and I quickly wiped away my tears. It was Belle's dad, Michael and a nurse
" You okay?" Belle's dad asked and I nodded
" Everything will be fine" he said patting my shoulder
" I'll like to get her dressed" the nurse said
" We'll take our leave then" Michael said gesturing me to come out.
