Chapter 7 - New ghram 2

### Episode 2: The Rescue Plan

Arjun sat on the edge of his bed, his heart racing as he replayed Raj's urgent words in his mind. The room felt suffocating, the walls closing in on him as anxiety gnawed at his insides. *Eighteen hours.* How could he possibly save Ravi in that time? His brother's face flashed in his mind—their playful chess games, Ravi's teasing smile, the way he always knew how to make Arjun feel safe. The thought of losing him sent a chill down his spine.

The sound of a knock on the door jolted him from his spiraling thoughts.

"Who is it?" he called out, his voice trembling slightly.

"It's me, Raj! Open up!"

Arjun sprang to the door, flinging it open to find Raj, panting and looking determined. His eyes were sharp, focused, and that gave Arjun a sliver of hope.

"We don't have much time," Raj said, stepping inside. "I need you to stay calm and listen."

"What's the plan? How do we find him?" Arjun asked, desperation creeping into his tone.

Raj pulled out a small notepad filled with hurried scribbles and laid it on Arjun's bed. "I got some intel from the streets. The kidnappers are part of a larger trafficking ring operating in the abandoned part of the city. They move their victims frequently. We need to find their hideout before they relocate Ravi."

Arjun's hands trembled as he ran them over the map, tracing potential routes with his finger. "What if they've already moved him? What if we're too late?"

Raj placed a reassuring hand on Arjun's shoulder, grounding him. "We won't know unless we try. We're going to check every lead, every location until we find him."

Arjun nodded, his resolve hardening, though a flicker of doubt still lingered in his chest. He had to be strong for Ravi.

As they stepped out into the cool night air, the streetlights flickered ominously above them. The city felt different now—threatening and unknown. Raj hopped onto his motorcycle and gestured for Arjun to get on. "Hold on tight," he instructed.

With a roar, the engine came to life, and they sped down the road. The rush of wind against Arjun's face mingled with his racing thoughts. He felt a mixture of fear and adrenaline surge through him, propelling him forward. They were on a mission.

After a short ride, they arrived at the outskirts of the city, where the landscape transformed into a desolate industrial area. In the distance, an old, rusted warehouse loomed ominously, swallowed by shadows. Arjun's heart sank. This was it.

"This is it," Raj said, his voice low. "Stay close and follow my lead."

They crept toward the warehouse, the air thick with tension. Peering through grimy windows, they saw a group of rough-looking men gathered inside, their voices a low murmur. But Ravi was nowhere to be seen.

"What if they've already moved him?" Arjun whispered, a fresh wave of panic rising in his chest.

Raj's eyes narrowed as he scanned the interior. "We'll find him. Let's see what they're planning."

Suddenly, an empty crate clattered to the ground behind them, breaking the stillness of the night. The kidnappers turned, their eyes narrowing as they scanned the area.

"I heard something. Check it out!" one of them barked, their voices dripping with authority.

Raj's grip tightened around the small knife he had concealed in his pocket. "Stay quiet. We need to move."

"Raj, we can't let them catch us!" Arjun said, his voice rising with panic.

"No! We can't back down now. We need to find Ravi!" Raj's determination shone through his words.

As the kidnappers split up, searching the perimeter, Raj caught sight of a window slightly ajar. He motioned for Arjun to follow him, and together they slipped inside, landing silently in a cluttered interior. The darkness enveloped them, hiding them from view.

Once inside, muffled cries echoed through the warehouse, sending chills down Arjun's spine. He felt his heart drop. They were close.

"Ravi!" Arjun whispered, fear and hope intertwining in his chest. He gestured toward the sound, and they moved stealthily, sticking to the shadows as they crept deeper into the warehouse. Each step felt heavy with dread, the cries growing louder, more desperate.

They approached a door at the end of the corridor, the cries piercing through the wood. Arjun's heart raced as he put his hand on the doorknob, trembling with fear and anticipation. Would he find his brother on the other side?

"Ready?" Raj whispered, his voice steady despite the tension.

With a deep breath, Arjun nodded. They would face whatever was behind that door together.

As Raj pushed the door open, they were met with a sight that took Arjun's breath away: Ravi, tied to a chair, looking disheveled but alive. Relief washed over him, but it was short-lived as he spotted the kidnappers nearby, their attention now turned toward the intruders.

"Get down!" Raj shouted, pushing Arjun to the ground just as one of the kidnappers reached for a weapon. The air crackled with tension as Arjun's world turned chaotic.

They had to act quickly.

With a burst of adrenaline, Arjun surged forward, determined to save his brother, even if it meant confronting the darkness head-on.
