Rose stretched her arms as she woke up the next day, glancing to her side, expecting to find Kieran gone. Just as she had anticipated, he wasn't there.
"Luna Rose, are you awake?" Eliana's voice called from the doorway.
"Yes, please come in," Rose replied.
Eliana entered, holding a hairbrush and some towels. "I'm here to brush your hair."
Rose furrowed her brow in confusion. "Huh? But why? I have hands of my own," she said.
Eliana tossed her hair back and laughed lightly. "Oh, Luna. I know you're more than capable of taking care of yourself. But as Alpha Kieran's Luna, I need to take extra special care of you." She winked.
"That's dumb. I don't need anyone to baby me. I can do all of these things on my own. If anything, I should be the one taking care of everyone!" Rose exclaimed, crossing her arms in defiance.
Eliana just laughed again, shaking her head.
