Eliana couldn't believe what she had just done.
She had rejected Alpha Leo.
She hadn't had the courage to stay and see his reaction, so she ran as soon as the words left her mouth. Hopefully, he wouldn't be too angry with her. If anything, she told herself, he should be relieved that he didn't have to reject her first. After all, who would want a servant as a mate, right?
'I cannot believe you rejected him and ran off like that. What is the matter with you, girl!' her wolf scolded, her voice full of frustration.
"It's for the best," Eliana muttered under her breath, her words a feeble attempt at convincing herself.
She couldn't bring herself to go back to her room. She knew that Alpha Leo would follow her there. So, instead, she ran into the forest, hoping to escape from the chaos inside her mind.
