Leo let out a long sigh, watching Eliana retreat from his sight. What was he going to do with her?
'Next time, push her against the mattress and ravage her,' Xander, his wolf, howled inside his mind.
"Xander!" Leo growled at the voice. "I will not force myself on my mate!"
'Ah, you are too noble for your own good, Leo. I felt her wolf, and let me tell you, she was eager,' Xander said, his voice dripping with mischief.
The truth was, Xander was right. He could smell it—her scent was sweet, innocent, and everything he had ever wanted to claim as his. But Leo had promised himself that when Eliana came into heat, they would make love together, not rush it or take her like some animal in a rut.
"Yeah, well, I'd rather wait until Eliana is ready," Leo murmured under his breath, willing the words out before Xander could make another crude suggestion.
