Eliana bit her lip, holding back a snide remark.
"Um… if I'm not supposed to do any other work in the kitchen…" she trailed off, her voice small.
"Or the laundry room," he added, cutting her off.
"Okay… or the laundry room. Then what am I supposed to do when you don't need me for anything?" Eliana asked, feeling a mixture of confusion and frustration.
"I will always need you," he barked, his tone intense.
A shiver ran down her spine at his words. The way he said it, with such force and certainty, sent an unexpected thrill through her. Despite herself, she felt a flutter in her chest. She couldn't deny the attraction she felt for him, even though she knew it wasn't allowed.
"I'm sorry, Leo. Did I offend you somehow?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
"No, you didn't," he replied, his tone softening. "I just want you to understand that you belong to me now."
Belong to him!?
